Customer service is lacking seriously. I had a simple question regarding the impedance of their speaker mics because the product descriptions are terrible and uninformative. To get what I wanted to know it was like pulling teeth out. Via an online help ticket, I first asked: "I am looking to buy a speaker mic that has a 600 ohm dynamic mic and an 8 ohm speaker. Any connector is fine. Do you have any of these?" Reply was "no, sorry. we do not have the six hunred ohms" Determined to find more information, I opened another help ticket this time asking about the impedances of specific products. The reply was "600 ohms", nothing more. Assuming the guy was talking about microphone impedances, I had to probe even more to get him to tell me which mics had this spec, and then probe him even more to tell me the impedance of the speaker on the same product. As I said, it's like pulling teeth out. This could have all been resolved by answering my first question. I only add a star (to make 2) because the replies were quick. Read more7+ months for repair. Amplifier came back not only not fixed, but with new problems from their tech. The who thing has been a mess with lack / absence of communication. The information I sent with amp was ignored. I contacted them upon return but all they said was they would forward it to the tech who worked on it and management - Ameritron / MFJ having major issues. The amp has since been sent to another repair facility outside of MFJ. They did not offer any type of refund at all. They should step up and pay the real repair bill after what I have been thru with them. ::: TWO WEEKS LATER: Received an email about a special radio deal, ordered 2. Next day received email saying customer cancelled order? I responded and told them I did not cancel anything - they said they miscounted and ran out. Read moreI emailed MFJ for a replacement part. I described what I needed. I needed part # 404-1056 according to the parts help desk. I trusted they knew what they were talking about and ordered it. After I placed my order I got the feeling they did not have one of these sitting around. Well four days later I got a notification saying that my part was being shipped. Although happy about that I had reservations it was going to be THE part I needed. It arrived today and in fact was the correct air roller inductor. The part had a manufacture date of the day after I placed the order. You know that does not happen everywhere. Usually everyone waits until they have enough ordered to assemble a bunch of them.
