My parents and I like to make a day trip every year to visit antique malls and thrift shops, and I have to say. This is one of the best we've been to.
First off, the place is massive, and packed with various dealers and booths. Most of the dealers are also reasonably priced for what they have. There's a little bit of everything and I've seen things here I haven't in other malls.
The staff that run the place was AMAZING. The ladies at the Cafe were extremely kind and worked the place efficiently. They were also very attentive.
The main reason I'm even leaving a review, is because of my experience with a mistake that was made. There was an issue with one item on my recipet that caused a double charge (I believe the dealer double tagged something and we didn't catch it. I didn't even think about the price being too much until I looked at the receipt an hour later.)
When I realized the mistake I called the store and left a message. We drove our way back, trying to get there before they closed. I called a second time, just cause I wanted to make it a little easier on them and explain things before I got there. The young lady and Ms Bobby helped get this situation handled amazingly.
By the time I got there chrckrd in at the desk and everything, and Ms. Bobby already had everything handled. Everyone apologized for the inconvenience, but honestly, I wasn't mad. Mistakes are made, and this was handled very well.
I got a call in regards to the massage I left a few minutes after they opened the next day. And though the woman on the line thought it was the incident the day before, she still called just in case.
TL;DR This place is one of the best run businesses I've ever been to, on top of being one of the best and largest malls. Check it out if you're in the area. There's a little bit of everything...
Read moreWent in to buy some tools that I needed for a personal project and when I was able to find a few pieces that were needed I found out that a few of them didnt have any tags. Two or three of the bits didn't have any tags and as soon as I told the counter I was going to overpay because the vendor didnt have a tag on it, they gave my parents and I a strong look and said unfortunately they couldn't do it. We understand that if the seller didn't label it correctly then the item is risky to give out for a random price, but if someone is generous to help around the mistake for something that small, then take it.
Although with that experience we didnt have much of a choice but to buy the other things they need. I'll follow this review up with images from the shelves from Booth 315 that was mentioned before. When looking at the items I moved one into place by the item with the torn tag.
After a whole month of not getting a reply I got a response on this that they have a policy in place which seems to actually be a double-edged sword because it screws over the sellers as much as it does you, I can understand that the guy wasn't able to be reached but what is possibly on my train of thought is that if somebody is overpaying by a massive amount to purchase something then you need to realize that it's not us you need to apologize to it's the person that was selling the item because they were probably asking for a fraction of what they'd get. This isn't a business that prices things and can sell them themselves I understand that but it shouldn't take you a month to respond with an apology that explains to the public why you can't have your business...
Read moreHere’s the real skinny on these places. I’ve been a picker for 45 years and have never found a “Find or Deal” in this joint. You must remember that these “Dealers” have looked up all the prices on this stuff. Whether EBay or some kind of internet search. Remember these dealers have to pay rent, so their prices are going to be high. At $200 or more a month and a commission charge it’s hard to make any money in a antique mall. I mean we have to pay for those items we resell. Then there’s the 10% discount the mall gives the buyer if asked. Also the fees for credit card sales that are usually charged to the seller. So divide 30 by your rent cost, 10% off discount, 5% sales commission, and a 3% credit card fee on all sales..... you will in up owing rent at the end of the month and loss of your cost for the item. That’s why there is a lease. Once you are in a mall for the first 3 months it’s usually profitable. The other 9 months or longer, it’s going to trickle down to a crawl. All of your good items are gone and you are left with just “ STUFF”. This stuff, nobody wants. Remember now that you are still paying rent and the months you don’t even make your rent eats up all the profit you made in the first 3 months. So, at the end you have no profit, wasted time and resources and don’t even have the products you started out with or the money you bought it with. The Mall’s are the only winners. Yes, the Factory is a big mall, but really no bargains to be had. It’s a lot of stuff but very few desirable...
