Food Lion — Local services in Staunton

I will start with stating that until today I had been a customer at this foodlion for 7 year. Today I went with a friend to the store she purchased beer but I didn’t have my wallet with me because I didn’t need it to go to the store. The guy at the register asked me for my ID I told him I didn’t have it but told him my date of birth and age (33) she handed him hers and he scanned it but said since I didn’t have mine that the beer couldn’t be purchased. I then left after she paid she went back to get beer after I left. They then called the police on her and told her that she couldn’t purchase the alcohol and kicked her out of the store. Once I went in for 2 minutes then the manager came up to me and said that they already had 5 complaints about my rabbit. I get about the animal have. But they could of just told me to leave the produce. But still. And to make it worse I didnt have her carrier. I told him, I dont know if he didnt here me but i said but we dont have her carrier. And even if we did she would die. Because it was hot and we would be in there for lake and hour. We also brought a keep and the back window was out so someone could of stole her. A delightful experience of a kind individual named Emma, and upper management or should be! On January 8th 2025 First of all, it started with opening extra check out line, when she did not have to. That is putting the customer first and valuing my time, which I really appreciate as a local business owner. Was performing closing duties efficiently from what I saw. Also took the time and did a price check for me on a product and was kind and respectful at the same time... I really appreciate people like Emma going the extra mile, it is just awesome!
