Use to be a loyal customer, but the owner does not deserve to be in business. Not sure how she made it this far with her absolute bipolar attitude and trash customer service. Multiple ladies I know and like said they would wrap and box my items, we even agreed that I would pay now & pick it up many days later so they would have time to do everything. All is settled, they take my date and time, I begin to pay, as owner called the lady on the radio up front and started YELLING… repeating “ I like her” but I just can’t do it, she bought everything 75% off, not one item was full priced, all 75% off, I just can’t do it, it’s not worth it”. I was dumbfounded… the cashier began explaining to me how they weren’t making and profit by selling me any of these items and how they are actually loosing money by selling it to me. Boxing and wrapping takes labor, time, paper, and money and it just wasn’t worth it. I just wasn’t worth it. I SPENT ALMOST $300 DOLLARS!!! She then ended up bunching all the clothes in a ball like Ross clothing… and piled it overboard, obviously I can’t get extra bags because I bought everything for $75% off. … she instead gave me a random cheaper bag instead of the nice ones they usually give. Drove almost half an hour, leaving work and school, cause I was having a really difficult week, and I wanted to go to my happy place, left there feeling disrespected, devalued, shamed, and crying. Would’ve spent a couple hundred every month if this hasn’t happened, would’ve brought people along too....

After spending a significant amount of time, with our soon to be daughter in law's help, to no avail, we decided to drop by Fashion Gallery. This store is known for a nice selection of formal wear, while it is pricey, you can usually find that one special item. This time we were searching for a dress for me, the mother of the groom. I was especially excited that my daughter in law to be was willing to help me choose. The sales staff were extremely helpful. I did choose to have some "intricate" altering done after purchasing the dress. There were some issues with the altering, but because the fee is nominal ... i beleive, should have reflected my choice for simpler alterations. I am satisfied with the store's choice of correcting the issue. If you have elaborate alterations, might i recommend Lynns Creations in Staunton. But i'm reasonably certain simple alterations would be fine. I am completely satisfied with such a lovely dress. My daughter and I went in to look at prom dresses. One lady at front of store was friendly and spoke, once we got to the special occasion area it was a different feeling. There were at least 3 different sales women around and they were offering help to everyone else but never once asked us anything. Others were asked if they needed a fitting room and how things were going we weren't even spoken to. She found a dress she wanted to try on and I had to ask for a fitting room even though she was already standing there watching us. She opened the fitting room and that was it. Never asked how it fit, if she needed help nothing. It was very disappointing. This is my daughter's first prom experience and I regret our choosing to shop here. It seemed as if since my daughter and I weren't older white women or blonde teenagers we didn't need assistance. Too bad because we just ordered her dress from somewhere else and spent over $400, so money wasn't an issue. We went where we received help and felt welcomed and appreciated for...
