I very rarely if ever write reviews but⌠This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with in my life!!!! People need to be warned!!! Do not use this company or any of the other company names they do business under!!! This company was at one time, the BEST taxi/shuttle service in northwest colorado. Since the new owners took over last yearâŚThat is no longer the case. They are horrible!!!
No matter what name they decide to do business under, Go Alpine, Co West, Steamboat Shuttle Service, (these names are only a cover for their bad reviews), they are horrible! If you are looking for reliable transportation in Steamboat, you wonât get it here! Not only do they treat their customers with absolute unprofessional behavior, they also treat their employees like disposable chew toys.
They were once an organized, professional, prompt and riable transportation company. Now, due to extremely poor management, they are the worst transportation company by far!!! They leave people strandedâŚthey just take your money and donât show up!!! They are rude, they have little or no office professionals for customer assistance, they wonât even take the time to answer the phone or return messages. When they do answer, itâs usually by someone thatâs obviously on drugs, and canât even communicate. They even allow CDL drivers that have failed drug tests and continues using to continue driving, putting lives in danger! They take credit card payments and donât provide the service promised!!!
Do you yourself a favorâŚDO NOT USE this company or Co West, or Steamboat Shuttle for your taxi/shuttle service!!! They will ruin your vacation!!! They will ruin your day!!! They will NOT provide the service promised. They will leave you and your family stranded in freezing cold weatherâŚthey do not care about their customers. They...
Read moreDO NOT USE - Left us stranded after a scheduled pickup!
My girlfriend and I called Go Alpine on 10/21 to get a ride from downtown Steamboat up to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs for the night, and then wanted a pickup the following morning to bring us back to town. It was snowy and the roads were bad, so we were happy that the driver made it the 7 miles up to the springs. We had scheduled a pickup with the dispatcher for the next morning at 10AM, but when the time came, no taxi. The springs have no cell service, but when we asked to borrow their landline to make a call, a man at Go Alpine answered and told us that they would not be picking us up because the roads were too bad. He said that they never should have made the pickup reservation in the first place, and that a mistake had been made. When I told him that we were stranded up there and had now way to get back as we were relying on their ride, he did briefly say that he would send someone up there to get us even though he shouldnât, since they had made a mistake. However, after he talked with the springs manager, we were told he would not be sending someone up because the springs would not accept liability if their taxi was damaged or went off the road (Of course not - why would the springs accept this liability anyway?)
We were left stranded up at the springs, with no ride, no cell service, and our only option was to walk the 7 miles back into town, down the twisty, windy dirt road in freezing temperatures through the snow. When we finally got back into service, we had no call, no voicemail from Go Alpine letting us know that they werenât coming.
Horrible service, DO NOT use this company if you need a dependable ride in...
Read moreUntrustworthy, unprofessional, and unethical. While leaving dozens of passengers with confirmed reservations at the airport waiting for hours due to alleged driver shortages, this company rudely snapped at customers trying to ask questions about alternate options, andâworst of allâcontinued to sell tickets to shuttle services they could not provide. The unprofessional handling of customer questions was appalling to observe. Company employees actually mocked passengers at the counter, yelled at one passenger, and threatened to call the police when one person argued for a refund after finding out no shuttles were available for the afternoon. One customer service rep repeatedly stated she would cancel anyoneâs trip if they kept asking questions about refunds, yet after repeated inquiries about refunds, the manager finally admitted that canceling within 24 hrs meant no refund. Therefore, as the company continued to sell tickets to people standing in line, to whom they could not actually provide services, they were simply canceling reserved trips and not providing refunds. This is completely unethical. In addition to refusing to provide refunds for their own failure to provide service, this company violated credit card rules by fully processing payments in advance for reservations it ultimately did not fulfill. There are several other transportation providers, many with little to no advertisement, that can provide services from the airport into Steamboat Springs. I recommend you inquire with any local hotel desk for more reliable and professional options from the...
