Steamboat Powersports — Local services in Four Corners States

Steamboat Powersports saved our trip. The service department provided outstanding rush service to two people from out of state who probably won't even be able to give them repeat business. We were far from home (across the country) on a motorcycle trip, when over the course of three days, both of our motorcycles had trouble. I probably called the service department 5 or 6 times over the course of three days; first to arrange rush shipping on a part for my bike, then again the next day after my husband's bike broke down (never have we had such mechanical trouble on a trip before). By the end of the week, both motorcycles had arrived at Steamboat Powersports by tow truck. The part for my bike arrived when they said it would, and they made time to get my husband's bike into the shop to diagnose it right away. They sorted out both motos, even taking parts off of a showroom bike to get us back on the road before they closed for Sunday and Monday. And they charged fair shop rates. We could not have asked for better service, both with on the phone communication, the actual work, and the timing. They really stepped up to address our difficult situation. I’ve been snowmobiling for about 40 years and have had a few trips with sleds that break down and it usually always has a negative affect on the trip. Usually the local dealer never has time to fix anything immediately. I’ve been in Steamboat Powersports a number of times for small items but three days ago was the first time I had a sled issue in Colorado. I brought it in and Joel told me he did not have time to fix the problem because the service department was full but he offered to go out to my trailer with his computer. He told me exactly what the problem was and what needed to be taken apart to get to the bad electrical terminals. He also gave me the terminals and refused to take any money for them or for his diagnosis. He was exactly right with what needed to be repaired and after a few hours in our trailer that evening my son and I had the sled back running 100%. Enjoyed two more days of great riding after that. I’m not used to service like that and I can tell you that I will be back. Thanks again Joel and happy new year to you and all your guys. It’s great to walk into a show room and have a bunch of guys actually happy to see you even when they don’t know me.That’s not typical. You guys are doing something different and it shows....

Two weeks ago I was near Steamboats Springs elk hunting with my son. We had trailer problems on the way up and had to rent a U-Haul for my ATV. Then upon arrival I began to have some minor ATV problems. I contacted Cody with Powersports and told him dilemma. He gave me some details on a couple of ATV’s that were used. He was very patient and kind dealing with me over the phone. I was trying to gather information from him while I was up in the mountains. I finally made arrangements to go and meet him on a Tuesday morning. Cody was excellent to deal with. He brought both units out for me to look at and I took drives on them. At no point was there ever any pressure placed on me. My intention wasn’t to buy anything but the only thing that convinced to buy an ATV and a trailer was because of Cody and how he treated me. We made a good fair deal on the package and I couldn’t be more pleased. Also, I met Travis to finalize everything and it all went incredibly smooth. Can’t thank those two guys...
