I took my 1965 Riviera in for 2 items on 4/24/24. One was to repair the button to open the trunk and the other was to find out why it was hard to start when cold. I was asked if I wanted an inspection. I agreed to that and was aware that it was going to be a charge for 4 labor hours. 1 month later I received an estimate of work totaling $3500. I agreed to that work and paid $2400 to have the work started. From that point forward it was a nightmare. I was called on June 10th to bring more money due to the many electrical issues. I paid $2500. On June 25th I was told they needed $5K more due to the repairs that had already been completed. I wasn't advised of this and felt I had no choice but to pay it. I assumed this would be the end of it. The next convesation came on July 26th where they were just now working on the hard to start issue. They felt it was the carbureator and another $1K. All communication stopped after this point. I called and visited mutiple times and finally got some action on October 8th. Of course, another $1k was needed. When I went to leave with the car, the shaved door handles did not work. They worked when I brought it there. They looked into the problem and felt it was the solenoid inside the doors. Another $1k. I picked it up on 10/24/24 (6 months from dropoff) and still the doors did not open correctly. It was clear to me they had no idea how ro work on something other than the "common" classics like a Mustang. I took my car home so that I can find someone who actually knows what they are doing and doesnt bleed the customer dry monetarily. If I would have known that $3500 was going to balloon to 4 times that amount, I would have never taken it there. I had seen their full page back cover advertisement in Cruisn News and thought they were reputable. I notice they no longer advertise with that publicaton.
I share my story so that others will know what to expect when taking a car...
Read moreThis place is a rip off, I brought my vehicle to them to repair or replace my climate control. They charged me a total of close to $5000 and did nothing. I Received a call from them stating they could not find parts and as a result I could come pick up my vehicle. I personally did some research and found a retrofit kit that would work for my vehicle, I asked them how come they did not suggest a retrofit kit Initially? They had no answer. Once I gave them the manufacturer of the Retrofit kit they told me the price to purchase the kit would be Double if they purchased it as they would have to warrant it At an additional $5000 or even more. I was also told that since I have a convertible I don't really need climate control anyway after they took close to $5000 from me. This is my first classic and I expected these guys to operate in a place of integrity and in a professional manner, which they did not. I was truly taken advantage of and the worst part is I have no recourse, there's nothing I can do about it besides write this post and hope that others beware they will take your money and not provide you with any service but a bunch of excuses. It is extremely rare that I write reviews even more rare to write a negative review but this company truly deserves it, it's almost criminal the way I was treated. I have nothing to show for close to $5000.00 I thought the classic car community was a brotherhood and we took care of each other, I'm finding out the hard way that this is...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE!!! I brought my Camaro in to have work done on it. They painted the hood and one fender. Within 48 hours the paint is chipping off of the fender and the paint is cracking on the hood. Phil said if I bring it back, he will take care of it. Phil, I don't trust you to try to paint it, AGAIN... You should have done it right the first time!! It may be worse next time... You said you use premium PPG paint. It doesn't matter how good the paint is, if the surface isn't prepared well the paint is going to chip off. When I picked my car up I had to go back immediately because the kick panel by my emergency brake was on the wrong side of the dimmer switch. And for some reason they put a circuit breaker in my fusible link. The reason I was hesitant in paying is because of the poor paint job!! I recommend you STAY AWAY from this place. I suggest you read ALL the reviews carefully before going here. A lot of people posted negative reviews....
