Went there today to try out a new place for lunch. Thought it was pretty cool they had a temperature check before you go in the resturant. Service was good. Food was good.
The issues we had was theyre not following social distancing measures. I told the waitress if she could move us to where we werent so close to anyone or atleast 6 feet apart. Which she did but then the manager came in and sat a whole family of 6 right behind us and none of them were wearing masks nor it was enforced.
Also the waitresses were wearing masks the correct way. But the manager who was going around from table to table wasnt wearing his mask on properly the entire time and kept it under his nose and didnt bother pulling it up. Defeats the whole purpose of wearing a mask for the safety of your guests!
Another issue that we saw there was again the manager was talking about politics to his guests and made us feel very uncomfortable being there especially if youre a person of color. I didn't feel welcome there and felt very awkward sitting there hearing him talk about it loudly. Made me feel like I shouldn't have stepped in. Or I made a mistake coming here to eat. If you want to keep your guests and bring more people into your resturant, Do not talk about politics! Please keep that to yourself!
I really won't be coming back here anytime...
Read moreThe first time my family and I dined here, it was an ok experience. The owner seemed nice as well as some of the servers but we felt rushed as we were given our bill before we could even finish eating or close to being done. Upon entering and waiting for our table, one server just stared at us like she’s never seen people that look like us before while the others greeted and treated my kids well. So overall, it was not a bad experience to say we would never return. But.. Today was the second time going to this establishment. It was full but saw that people were leaving to create space for new customers. When I entered, both male and female servers only tended/ made eye contact with people of their own race while myself (the only POC in the entire restaurant) was constantly bypassed. I had people who came after me, going ahead of me and couldn’t get a word in. So I ending up leaving feeling very uncomfortable and it’s safe to say I won’t be back due to this type of service or lack thereof. It’s unfortunate because I live so close and would have frequented this spot for dining with my family.
Aside from that, I ask that the owner kindly train the staff of attending to people of all races and backgrounds and for the servers not to impolitely stare without...
Read moreFlaming Grill has gone through some changes over the years. Right now they seem to be attracting a larger than normal crowd. That being said, the noise level was high, and the waiters and waitresses were stepping over each other, because the distance between booths is pretty close. All on all everyone on oir party liked their food, and that is always a plus. My main issues are 1) the prices for what is basically coney island confort food are really high. $7 to add onion rings or $3 to add fries to a sandwich that has an average price of $10 to $14. That's way higher than restaurants around them. 2) Our food cake out in 3 stages. Daughter food first. 7-8 minutes later wife and son 5 minutes after that mine came, and my daughter was half through her meal. I'm used to all the food coming at the same rime, or one right after another id they are too much to carry, but 12 to 13 minutes between first and last meal is a bad look, and bad for families. They had plenty of help, so that was not the reason. If you decide to try them, ask that all of your food come...
