We had an amazing experience at Selmi’s Formal Wear! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. We had an appointment so no need to wait. They welcomed us with snacks and drinks and a seating area for us to be comfortable and leave our things. The storefront was very clean and very well designed. Katy (the founder) did a wonderful job! Savannah, our personal sales associate, helped my daughter find the perfect dress for prom. The selection was impressive, with a wide range of styles and sizes to choose from. They also ensured us that no one who will be attending her prom will be sold from them the same dress which is such a relief. Selmi's Formal Wear is an amazing addition to the area and a must for those looking for Prom and Homecoming dresses. I highly recommend it to those both locally as well as from out of town. We have been in the Chicagoland area for over 20 years and have shopped 3 years for at many shops for formal wear. Selmi's definitely is of the same caliber and has all the same designers. The customer service and attention we received while there and following up was fantastic! While we didn't end up buying a dress that day as it was still December and prom isn't until May, Katy herself has gone above and beyond to follow up to ensure our experience was great and we have access to whatever we want!
