Asian Buffet — Restaurant in Sterling

Very busy Asian Buffet restaurant. A wide variety of items to choose from, including a sushi bar with assorted types of sushi and sauces in separate bowls hot soups, and a fruit/ dessert cold bar. Ice cream is in a separate case and different flavors are easily scooped into a cup. There is a grill so you can get a custom made dish or only vegetarian stir-fry. Chop sticks are available too. The Grill Master always cleans the grill between dishes he cooks, and it is amazing to watch him work preparing items for customers! Staff is very attentive to the items on the buffet, cleaning spills, and offering more beverages to the customers as they enjoy their meal! You receive a good value for your money; Lunch Buffet for 1 was $12.99. Not sure if they offer Senior Discounts. Gift Certificates are available for purchase and extra Fortune Cookies can be purchased. There are dine- in, carry-out and phone order options. Restrooms are very clean and free of excess trash. A fountain on the wall opposite the dessert bar adds ambiance to the restaurant. Food is excellent, at proper temperature and the rice cooker is cleaned off as well as the counters every few minutes. Took the family over yesterday on 102124 Was taken to our table got our drinks.. the service was perfect. Got up to go get some food.. now.. i understand it's a buffet and some things sit awhile.. but my god the thin sliced potatoes covered in butter were pretty much chips by time we got some. Everything the kiddo could eat that didn't have seeds was cold. The egg rolls tasted as if they sat in the freezer for a year. They cooked em let em sit and dipped them in the fryer again to warm.. they're terrible.. got a small helping of rice, peper chicken and a few chunks of general tso. The rice was ok for the most part. I about broke my tooth on the pepper chicken and I'm like 95% sure the tso chicken was rotten. I took one bite. Could smell and taste something off and of course didn't finish it. The color of the meat was very strange.. left hungry and went home hungry after spending 57 dollars on People to not get a full belly i wasn't taking my chances of getting food elsewhere as I was concerned we may of had food poisoning after eating. The food was so cold,barley look warm. And from what I did have, it was soggy . The place wasn’t busy so I guess they were not switching out the buffet pans. I didn’t eat but 3 bites, and left after 5 min. Plates still full, and obviously not touched, waitress new something was wrong, she said let me get the owner, I spoke to the owner quietly and discreetly with respect, cause I didn’t want to cause a scene, He was immediately rude and Defensive, He thought it was still fair to charge me $35 . Even after seeing we didn’t eat. I did say I didn’t think that was fair but ok, he said “you have to pay, but I’ll give you a credit” after I paid he handed me a gift card and smiled and said here is $5 for you , you can give it to someone you know” wooooow that was slick!
