So D I S G U S T I N G! I sometimes get a hankering for egg rolls for lunch. That’s it. Just an order of egg rolls! Crisp on the outside, cabbagey goodness on the inside! I was near the Sterling Deli and thought I haven’t been in a while, I’ll try it. Wrong Move! The only good thing about the trip is that I get to leave this review for all of you good people! The rolls were over cooked in old oil and soaked through to the vegetables inside. When I say it was dripping in grease I mean DRENCHED! You could taste a hint of 5 Spice seasoning on the pork (and let’s face it, when I taste 5 spice powder I’m immediately disappointed.) but the expected savory nuance that heralds the sweet and spicy crunch of cabbage and carrots was long gone. There was no finesse to be found in this sad pair of egg rolls, and if anything had been there the oil drowned it out! I’m not interested in trying anything else. Sadly some years back the original and very capable owner who I only know as Candace sold the deli to the current owners. Perhaps if they read these reviews they will take the feedback to heart. Also, most of the 4 or 5 star reviews listed here for the Chinese food are from years ago when Candace was the owner. Placed an order through DoorDash around 11:45 am, set pickup for 12:50 pm, and arrived around 12:55. The restaurant never received it because their system was down. I realize this is not their fault, but a fault of DoorDash not alerting the customer when there's an issue.

What bothered me was the total lack of empathy and tone of voice used by the staff. No apologies. No effort was made to "make it right." I had to order my lunch there and they nearly messed up what I wanted to order, not knowing their own menu. I was also not given any indication as to when my lunch would be ready.

It will be a long time before I order from Sterling Deli again. Poor...

Ordered a plain cesar salad wrap. They didn’t ask if I wanted meat, so I figured it would be plain. After waiting 10 mins and seeing them all standing there talking, I asked if they were putting meat on it - they said yes. I asked if they can not do that and they looked at me like I was crazy. Then they asked if I paid (which I just did to them, I was the only one in there), then just stared at me instead of a refund.
