I have come here for highlights, cuts, wax, etc... it's a little overpriced, but close to my house. I just moved to the area and do not venture much. I work two jobs and go to law school which leaves me with little time to make appts. I called in and was given an appointment later in the day. I came in and a girl named Emily was to cut my hair. I showed her a picture and asked for a longer version and gave her the "do not cut past here" rule to ensure I could still put my hair up. The initial cut in that back seemed reasonable, until she decided to keep cutting it little by little. I told her it made me nervous and that it seemed a lot shorter than we talked about. She replied, " It would have flipped if I left it at that length." SHE decided how SHE wanted my hair cut instead of listening to the directions I gave her. I'm pretty laid back when it comes to getting my haircut... if it's not how I pictured it, I just put it up until it grows. I CANNOT put my hair up. 6 bobbypins and it is falling out because it is soooo short. Litterally brought me to tears. I've never complained about a cut before in my life. You win some you lose some. This has traumatized me. I called the store to talk to a manager... I was told THEY DIDNT HAVE ONE. I called back and talked to another girl (ashley I think) who told me she wasnt sure what she could do for me... I asked about extensions (which I've never needed or wanted) I was told that I'd have to pay an easy $200.00 when I'm not the reason I need them now. I expressed my distaste for the ridiculous request to give them more money (I paid for the cut) after RUINING my hair. I was told I'd get a call back and have yet to. I used Legal for me and my bridal party for our October 2021 wedding, and I had a great experience with them. For my trial, the stylist worked with me until I was happy with my hair and makeup. My hair was a fishtail braid, but my makeup was a 60s look, heavy eye makeup. She made it look so elegant and beautiful. The team arrived the day of at our hotel in Pittsburgh. It was a drive for them, but they made it out on time and with everything ready. The stylists were funny, kind, and very helpful for all of my girls. They even gifted me a lipstick and lash glue for touchups during the day. We finished just on time, even though I had to make us change rooms in the middle of hair and makeup. They took everything in stride and were very professional, even as my 3 year old niece started screaming about putting on her dress. I couldn't be happier with their services. All of my girls looked beautiful, and we all were so happy. My mother in law bought everyone gift cards, and if the girls left theirs at home, Legal kept them all on file so there was no last minute Uh-Ohs. Thank you Legal! I went to this salon 3 times in my life, the first time I left unhappy called the owner and she basically told me to f off like I was making it up, the second time was great and the stylist was great, the third time I went and got a perm which I did not want an 80's perm and sat down and explained to the "perm girl" what I wanted for 10 minutes before I even got in the chair and she told me she could do it only to have my hair looking like a crimped piece of crap, I went to 3 different stylists to show them my new perm and all of them told me I needed to go back in and show them (which I did not want to after the first experience ) so I did end up going back because I just wanted to see what I could do to try to fix it, and the lady told me I needed a trim, I had to get 5 inches cut off and I am not happy, the biggest let down is after when I was crying in the chair after seeing what this girl did to my hair and was trying to explain again to her what I wanted she told me "well if I would of done that it wouldn't of lasted long"!
