I wandered into Holly Hock Farm Antiques looking for an old coal scuttle and metal scoop that I could use to keep just inside my door to store ice melt crystals for the stoop (I had been using an old plastic cat litter tub--UGLY!)
The owner Cheri guided me through the store and together we found something way better--- an antique metal urn on a small pedestal with an antique rustic wooden spoon/scooper. I had just been hoping for utilitarian (and NOT ugly) and ended up, with Cheri's patience and guidance, something unique and classy... that I can also use in non-winter months for interior plant/floral displays. All that for less than $70!
Bonus- unlike so many New England antique shops...Cheri's is a comfortable temperature...
