Last summer, I stopped by the Owl shop on Little Deer Isle and bought an Owl stool which I have been coveting for years, to use at my sewing and quilting machines. It has casters for easy movement and adjusts heights as needed. I did not purchase the optional back, and have found, due to my upright posture that the chair seat provides, that I have not needed it. The only issue which I have found is that this chair interferes with my other duties - suppers are late and dogs and people ignored as I comfortably sit and work for hours. Their website claims they will do repairs for a reasonable price. I have contacted them through their website contact page. With no response I have called them three times leaving messages as their recording recommends. I have received no response.    Read moreThese stools are very expensive. And when we ordered and received it, the assembly instructions were presented on an unreadable hand scrawled sheet. Maybe assembly is so simple that it is not needed? Well, when I simply picked up the metal connection assembly the base, it completely fell apart - things sliding out (making minor injuries to those involved), o-rings everywhere, and so on.
I feel a product at this price point really, really needs a better day...
