Stonington Ice Cream Company — Restaurant in Stonington

We discovered this hidden gem 8 or so years ago when we stopped in for an ice cream. Their ice cream is excellent but we soon learned that they had an lobster roll that is arguably the best around. Admittedly, the “best lobster roll” is a hot button topic but what out family likes about this one is that it has a light seasoning with fresh herbs and green onions and of course, a buttered and grilled bun. If you like your roll with a mayo dressing, this may not satisfy you but the light touch was appreciated by our family. Their other sandwiches are also quite good if lobster rolls are not your thing. I had read that they had a great lobster roll. Though the seasoning was nice I did pick out all the green onions. I just don't like veggies in with my lobster. The ice cream was Gifford's.
