Snow is when Jon here goes to the Antique stores. Well salutations everyone it’s me, Jon, here to tell you my thoughts, feelings, and opinions about this here Antiques Iowa. Now, this place is big, so big, I had a blast just getting in my 10,000 steps looking at the wide selection. Walking in I was met by friendly smiles and free cookies, fantastic. Walked away with a couple good fines for good prices, it was well worth the stop on our journey. Overall this here Antiques Iowa gets 4 show rooms off of 1 to the east.

We go to this store frequently, it’s a big antique mall with many vendors, a good spot to checkout for antique collectors. Just feel the vendors there don’t update new items frequently, over half amount of the collections in the store have been sitting there for over months. We always looking forward to see new collections there but barely find many. The quality of collections is fair to fine level, you can find nice and interesting pieces of furnitures, kitchen wares or home deco in good prices.

This is a fairly large antique mall. Well over a hundred dealers. Pretty good selection. Small items, lots of dishes and glassware. Some furniture, though not very many large pieces. There are primitives also. Seems to be quite a bit of what I call “newer” items - stuff from the 70s and even newer. Still it’s a worthy stop. Be sure to go into the newer east room. It’s called Room 5 and it’s laid out in such a way as to make viewing more enjoyable.

It's a fun place to walk through if you have a couple 2 or 3 hours. Not organized of course. Items are scattered with no one item in a certain section so most people don't take the time to look in back or side areas, which ever is in this maze or where. Not as antique as I thought it would be. A lot of more not antique collection type of things and alil to pricey for me. Although we were scheduled to go on a certain PBS show (not aloud to use the name when talking or posting like this) and unfortunately my item wasn't gonna be in the category for the days taping. I should have read rules and terms better or sooner. But for kicks decided to go antique shopping from Iowa to Missouri and Minnesota and last stop was the this antique shop sis got a few good name modern baseball cards. While looking something told me to buy this theater play script book thing and yep it was an Oldie & a Goodie. So in the chest of " My Grandkids Future " It went . Cost me $3.00 and it add a few more .0 and a comma in the right place and I say all you need is patients in this and all true antique stores to find a either over looked item or to...

My Easter weekend visit to this antique store was a major disappointment. When I walked in the employees (owners?) were bragging to customers that they are so inexpensive that people will come and buy multiple items to take to stores and resell at higher prices. As I walked through the store with my husband, we found that most items were priced at three to five times their actual value. My heart broke as I was unwilling to purchase items marked at fair prices because I could not support a store that blatantly ripped off their customers. As we left, I noticed a wall of surveillance images of people who they suspect had stolen from the store; oh the irony! I understand that there is an overhead to consider, and that most items were sold through consignment. As a result, items may be a little more expensive that one would expect, but the mark ups were not acceptable. My apologies to the individuals attempting to sell items at fair prices, your honesty is overshadowed by the greed of others in...

Real nice clean antique mall. Tons of things to find. Not high end and not a low end flea market mall. You can find anything you are interested in here. Pickers you will not find a lot to resell here. Prices tend to be on Ebay plus prices. Collectors will love this place. Whether it is old metal signs, military items, household or antiques you will find something for you. Folks are friendly and place is kept clean and organized. There is always coffe and cookies which is a plus. Worth the stop. Whether to stretch your legs or do some serious hunting. But don't plan on a quick stop. It will take you at least 2 hours to get through it all. There is also several other antique stores in town to hit just a few blocks...
