Dollar General — Local services in Story City

Last night 3/4/23 my brother and I was shopping there and as we walked in we seen bins out front that had these yellow papers that stated the salea and clearances price it clearly said it the product was 1$ it's 90% off they would give an additional 50% off of the clearance price which would have been 5 cents well I was speaking the the GM DEB about it and she was treating li was stupid and couldn't read when I knew what I was reading and what another cashier was informing me of the day B4 she said there was going to be a alot of things on clearance and then50% off my family and I shop in there daily and ya she maybe getting the place cleaned up but to because I was standing up for what I know was right she was treating my family and I like l we was below her and like now I'm very very disappointed and Im not ok with bn treated like that well last night was the...

Most disgusting store ever. The manager is a LAZY woman who has hoarded the store, She sits in her hoarded car for hours smoking. Someone from corporate needs to make an unexpected visit to this store. People are tripping over boxes in the aisles. I have heard many complaints from customers. Located in Story City Iowa, I visit Story City often, and every time it has gotten worse. The shelves are empty, but yet roll carts in the aisle filled with product. Back room absolute mess, bathroom unusable. So bad a customer can not get a shopping cart...

I've had issues with this DG before, but today I went in to buy using a coupon. $10 off 40. They decided to get rid of one of the checkout counters and replace it with a machine. At no point did it ask for coupons and the "digital coupon" button just asked for a phone number. After checking out I asked an employee and she said "there's nothing we can do". So I wasted $10... had to check things out myself, and even with the $10 discount, it's just the same price as walmart. Not buying...
