I was pretty disappointed with my experience at Snow Mountain. I’m not sure if it’s the time of year or if it’s a total lack of a streamlined system, but it appears to be the latter. They don’t sell any tickets online and I’m unclear why. It would have expedited the process ten fold and would have been considerably safer in the age of COVID. There was no parking when I came around 12PM for the 12:30PM ski session, and I wasn’t directed anywhere else where I could park. I had to return to my vacation home and walk to the resort. When I got there around 12:35PM, I had to wait in line for over 45 minutes to get a lift ticket and equipment rental ticket. I then had to wait another over an hour to get my ski rentals. For the price of the ticket/rental ($102) and the absolute excessiveness of the wait (almost two hours), it didn’t feel worth the 2 hour ski time left. There wasn’t clarity from staff in terms of lines and the process wasn’t super intuitive. More seasoned patrons in line were the ones directing confused others looking for the ski rental line, where to go for snowboard equipment, and how to fill out the form to get a ticket and rental.

The weather is no fault of Snow Mountain but they snow hoses they use to create snow blew almost at eye level in your face. Overall, the holiday season feels like an inopportune tune to come. There wasn’t an ounce of legit snow (it was all man made and incredible icy). It was also jam packed with people, making slopes overcrowded and lift wait times very, very long. Holiday prices are also much more expensive than regular prices. All in all, it’s just truly not worth the wait, the headache, and the very, very mediocre ski conditions.

Similarly to the skiing, the tubing process was also not streamlined or well managed. We showed up at 10AM to tube and were told it was sold out. I appreciated the fact that they cap the number of people allowed to tube in order to maximize the time each person has to tube. However, they didn’t start selling tickets for the 12PM tube session until 11AM and the line started to fill up at 10AM. We had to wait in line for an hour until 11AM to get tickets and then come back at 12PM to tube. I’m entirely unclear why they don’t sell tickets online to avoid making people wait in line. Pro tip: if your session starts at 12PM, come at 12:30PM. The line starts to significantly thin out as people start to leave tubing and then the line moves much faster. In the first 30 minutes, I had two tubing runs. In the latter hour and 15 minutes, I had about 8...

I don’t know why here got bad reviews. But I love here. The staffs at tubing area was very helpful. They helped my son carried tubing out of the lane and went on the side with him. Staffs at the ski school was also helpful and informative. She was answers all my questions. We asked if she could help us write down that informations so we will not forgot. And she did. Also, we didn’t get any racism or anything. They were nice and helpful.

Last, no military discount at the tubing. But...
