The only reason this isn’t a 1-star review is because the laundromat is open 24/7, which is rare in this area, and the vending machines are cheap. It’s not common to see dollar snacks and drinks at those anymore.

That said, I’ve had multiple problems with all machines (washing, drying, vending, and change) taking my money or dispensing incorrect change. There’s never any visible form or note to leave for getting a refund, despite the signage, which is annoying. Prices have also gone up recently, despite no added services or improvements, less reliability (the last two visits I’ve had here after the price hike I’ve lost change) and while inflation is stable.

The restroom is usually dirty, and someone keeps propping the outside door open at night, letting mosquitoes into the building and even into the restroom. I don’t enjoy getting bit while doing laundry. There ought to be signs reminding people to close the doors when they don’t need them propped.

It feels like this place is relying on its monopoly on 24/7 access within an hour of Boone instead of improving service. If there were another late-night option in Ashe, Watauga, Avery, or even Mountain City, I’d...

Sometimes it's busy (a good sign) and the people who come are friendly, the people who work there are helpful and friendly. 6. I have never done the drop off style, but I see the lady here putting a lot of care and attention into each load that is dropped off. 7. Safe: I left my laundry detergent on accident and I came back a week later and no one had taken it. 8. Bathroom is always clean and in working order which is much appreciated. 9. Next door to a coffee shop which is a great way to use your time, and a few storefronts down there is a china buffet which is also great if you need to eat while doing laundry. 10. Laundromat seemed nice quiet not many people on a Friday mid morning although one person in there assuming was the staff on the phone the entire time never said a word to us. The washing machine did it job clean the clothes well except the fact the top of the washing machine where liquid detergent would go into was disgusting and needed a deep cleaning badly thank God we use pods ask for the dryers they were terrible took an extremely a ton amount of time to dry the clothes ended up bringing the rest of our clothes home and hang drying them maybe need some maintenance...
