Chad's Pawn Shop — Local services in Sulphur

My little boy and I went in Chads Pawn Shop on Friday and I was in absolute awe how helpful, patient and kind they were!!! My son is almost 8 and he is very interested in hunting items and musical instruments. Mr Nick was so patient and helpful and not only did he show my son different items, he also took the time to explain about each item! Mr Wyatt was so very patient and helpful with my interest! He explained each item I was interested in so very well! Mr Barrett was absolutely helpful and kind. They also had a lady who worked there who answered any questions I had. I have NEVER been in a place of business where the staff was so kind, helpful and patient! Mr Barrett blessed us with a wonderful discount on our items we purchased and Mr Nick blessed us with a complementary gift on behalf of Chads Pawn SHOP and also blessed my little boy with a few guitar picks for his new guitar we purchased from them!!!!! Mr Wyatt took the time out to look up items for me and was so patient! This by far was the best shopping experience ever! Not only were the staff BEYOND kind and helpful, the prices were absolutely GREAT! I give Chads Pawn Shop in Sulphur a rating OFF THE CHARTS! Thank y'all so very much. We stayed in the store looking around for about an hour and words can't express how awesome the atmosphere was inside Chads. All I can say is YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!! I purchased a 55 inch Samsung for 220.00 the female sales lady turned the TV on and off in less than 20 seconds. A gentleman by the name of Tyler carried it to my car. I tipped him $10.00. When I got home which took about 30 minutes. I plugged the Television. White lines was streaming down in the corner. I called to inquire about the possibilities of return or exchange. I was told to bring it back in. When I returned to Chads, the service was awful. They insinuated that I must have dropped the television, even though NO scratches or dents was on it. (Another interning thing I notice, the price tag said 349,00 but I was charged 199.00 plus tax.) I felt this treatment was uncalled for. I was informed that it had to be my fault and that a return, refund or exchange would NOT be possible. A family referred me to Chads, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the owner. I wish that I could say the same. Two words ......

The merchandise is always priced pretty good, and most of the time they’ll negotiate a good bottom line price for you. The only thing I DO have an issue with is the “Bad Language” ( profanity ) that these sales associates use in the Sulphur store while customers are in there doing business. I was in there a few weeks ago looking for a few things, and I had my grandson with me. Well, 2 of the associates behind the counter were talking about something, and every other word out of their mouths were the “F” word. This is not acceptable when there are customers present in the store, and is not very professional. I’ve been to the store on Ryan St. in Lake Charles many times, and the sales associates do not use that kind of language over there.
