We decided to make our first purchase here about 2 weeks or so before their grand opening celebration. Mr. Santos was our salesperson and he was a very nice and patient man from start to finish. But from the get go, we ran into some issues with our purchase, thus why Iāve given a less than a five star rating. We decided to purchase two bedroom sets consisting of 2 beds, 2 dressers with mirrors, and 2 mattresses. We got approved for financing through Synchrony Bank and Mr. Santos told us that all we had to do was apply in store and once approved, sign the paperwork. He said that Synchrony had a no interest if paid in full within 3 years plan but when he presented us with the paperwork to sign , it was reflecting 12 months. Mr. Santos assured us that all we had to do, was to call Synchrony on our own and get them to change it from 12 months to 36 months, no interest. We called Synchrony the same or next day after and were told that was false information and that the store had to call them to change the terms. We had to visit the store three or four times times within the next few weeks because Synchrony set us up with the twelve month payment plan instead of what was told to us. It took quite a few phone calls with the assistance of Mr. Santos to get Synchrony to change it on their end, which just got approved, two months after purchase. (It took two billing cycles and one higher than agreed upon payment made to get this done) Mr. Santos also told us, we would not get charged until after delivery was made. They submitted the charge to Synchrony the very day we purchased. We also had to make a payment before we ever got the reordered bed delivered, so indeed again, this was not what was told to us in the beginning. Per Synchrony, Hometown Furniture never set it up on their end with any other financing options with Synchrony other than the twelve month option in their computer system. So this was the stores fault, not the banks fault. The store had to order our furniture, which from the time of order to the initial delivery took about three weeks. One of the beds we thought to have ordered, only came with one light on the headboard but we were shown one that had two lights on the showroom floor. It turns out that size bed must have been a Queen/King sized and didnāt come in the full sized we ordered. The other bedroom set we ordered came damaged. The headboard had cracked when the delivery/set up person installed it and one of the footboard drawers would not smoothly glide out and extend fully. It took yet another two to three weeks to get that bed reordered, delivered and set up. This time the headboard was in good condition and it turned out that the reason the drawer would not extend fully was all due to a small ball bearing in the side hardware. During this delivery, the two men that initially came out to do the delivery and set up did not come. We got two of the store sales associates to set up and deliver the reordered bed. As a brand new store and customer, it was a nightmare to have issues to battle right from the start. While the store does have nice and helpful associates and a nice selection of furniture, Iām not sure after all the issues we encountered if we will ever want to do business with them again...

The staff was helpful and friendly but I am now feeling that the salesperson that helped me just wanted a sale. We bought a washer and dryer set from the Summerville Badcock which the saleswoman told me had a sanitize button on it and it does not. Even though I should have said something about this I didn't because I liked the washer. The delivery was the main issue first our dryer was damaged as a result of something on their end so the washer came alone. The dryer had to be ordered then redelivered at a different date, Which was two weeks later. In the store the salesperson told me that they would not connect the washer but they would connect the dryer, when my dryer finally arrived they literally tried to drop it off and not hook it up! I called immediately and said I was told it would be hooked up. The salesperson on the phone spoke to the delivery driver and said can they do it as a favor!! What that's not what was said to me in the store. Also I requested to speak to a manager and never received a phone call back how unprofessional. You should also make time for a paying customer. I will never use this Badcock...

I get to the register to pay for it now the price is full price because the price displayed is for a refurbished one and the one Im purchasing is new.The sales clerk and manager was very apologetic because they didnt know how to fix it in their computer.Its delivered a week later with dings and scratches. I took pictures and took them to the store. Clerk said she had to contact corporate. Didnt hear from thembso I called to see what can be done, clerk put me on hold to speak to the manager who proclaimed I should have moved the refrigerator in the store to check for damages and that since I purchased the floor model its my fault. I actually liked the refrigerator and was asking for a percentage off for the damages.The manager was very arrogant and told me that hes not giving me anything more because I should have checked. He than hung up on me.I can see why The store is going out of business the customer service is horible and I would never buy anything from them even if thwy reopened in another...
