Lakewood Park — Local services in Sunnyvale

Huge Sunnyvale park with tons to do including skateboarding, tennis, basketball, baseball, running, racket ball, and children’s playground! There are ample public bathrooms here as well. This a great park with a huge field that often has full on soccer games going. There are plenty of picnic tables around with a huge barbecue area which you can reserve or grab early.

Sometimes there can be a homeless encampment near the barbecue areas which crowds some of the tables but today I didn’t see anything. Generally this park is safe and well patrolled by police. There is a school nearby, some small stores as well.

This was my first time at this park on Wednesday. It is a beautiful park and a wonderful place to spend time with your child. I was very surprised to have seen a little water park and different areas for kids to be entertained. There is a child park and a skateboard area(very nice) and the park has plenty of space to walk around with a child who is in a stroller. I was there with my 8 year old son, and even though I do have issues being around on grass area, I enjoyed my time with my son there. The Lakewood Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Santa Clara county. Really thinking about going back there again...
