I went to the DMV office on Monday April 24 and was the second customer of the morning. I was registering a truck that I brought back from Arizona. I had a set of collectors plates that I wanted to use and we did that. I filled out all the paperwork and paid for everything. The clerk made copies of all items and told me to keep it with the truck when driving. Three days later we bought a car and registered it at the Rice Lake DMV and we walked out with a new title. I was now wondering why I didn't get a title when I did the truck three days earlier but it could have been because it was from out of state. I was concerned so I drove back to Superior DMV on Friday to ask why I didn't get a title. She told me that I needed to mail in the originals but I NEVER got them. She insisted that she gave me the originals to mail back, she looked for them and called her supervisor to see if any paperwork was left behind. I even talked with LIZ (the supervisor) and she insisted that her co worker gave me back the originals to mail in. I told them that its pretty hard to mail something in that I dont have. So today 5/12/23 I recieved two pieces of mail from the DMV. 1. the title to my truck. 2. that I owed them $30.00 because they didnt charge me enough. Now it makes me wonder how I got that title because I never mailed the paperwork in because I didnt have it. REMEMBER how this is all going. So not only did the clerk screw up 1 but she did it twice to me and accused me of receiving the paperwork that she never gave me to mail in. Maybe thats why they say you should not buy a vehicle that was made on a Monday. I think I'm going to call the supervisor LIZ on Monday to let her know that this customer was always right!!! Do you think that I might get an apology from anyone. I'm not going to hold my breath. People in today's society just...
Read moreSay what you want about the DMV but I had an EXCELLENT encounter today! Went in for a new driver's license and needed a name AND address change which I thought was going to be an big ordeal but I thought I was prepared and brought all I needed. I was one document short and the employee there gave me a suggestion of something that might work without leaving (it was 20 minutes until closing) and it worked! Everyone was very nice and helpful. By far the best experience I have had in a...
Read moreThe clerk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was getting a new Wisconsin license, registering my car in Wisconsin, getting new license plates, and new tabs. She handled it all quickly and expertly and made it as pleasant an experience as possible (given it cost nearly $300!). Great job! Thank you! By the way.. be sure to check out the hand-painted northland mural on one wall. It's really...
