This review is for the Collins Hill soccer program. We signed our oldest up a few years ago when it first opened and it was not a great experience but luckily we had a great group of parents that made the best of it for our kids. We were under the impression that the organization was just new and it needs to iron out kinks before we consider registering again. We left the following season to try out GSA, even though the drive was further out.
We gave this organization another shot this season with our youngest thinking that it would be more established but it has not. It has gotten worse. It was unorganized, there were lack of volunteers, and players were moved around to new teams without prior notice. At first, 10 year olds were set up to play with U8, schedule was a mess in the beginning, and we still haven’t gotten uniforms (season is almost over by the way).
Many teams had to forfeit because coaches and even players did not show up for games. It was a complete disaster. There were also no referees so kids were just playing without any rules in place.
I understand the director was new and had a lot on her plate to nail down the logistics but we expected more considering the price we paid for registration compared to GSA. With that being said, I also wonder where did the registration $$ go from lack of resources this season?
Other than that, the soccer complex itself is very nice and well-kept.
GSA is a further drive but affordable, established, and organized! Please reconsider if you are thinking about signing your child up for...
Read morePark with a cool zipline for kids! Park that many activities! Two Entrances (that I could find) Entrance # 1, main entrance off old Peachtree Road. This is where the soccer field entrance is. Lots of parking off Entrance #1 off Old-Peachtree Road. Go past the soccer fields and come to one of coolest parks in Gwinnett County. The playground near the soccer field (older kids playground). This is at the entrance off old Peachtree Road.
Entrance One Sign (Rock Springs Park Soccer Complex) also has two dog parks, one for small dog and one for large dogs. Very nice fencing with the dog parks, double fences that lock behind when entering and exiting. Water fountains at both dog parks. Lots of water fountain areas for dogs to drink (Hydration Stations). Areas for dog owners to sit on benches.
Playground one off Old Peachtree is very nice. Has a zip line! Amazing! Lots of slides and rock climbing walls. This playground is well shaded. Playground also hand monkey bars and climbing ropes. Large and small slides and of course the zip line.
Entrance two off rock springs (Smaller kids playground area and tennis courts. The smaller kids playground has many things to offer. Many play structures, slides, and monkey bars. Rock climbing walls as well. Small kids playground stairs not as many steps, age appropriate. This entrance is where the tennis courts.

Read moreCollins Hill Soccer Academy has been an amazing experience for my son. The pitch is very nice and well maintained. There is quite a bit that goes into maintaining a proper pitch not the least of which is controling the traffic and usage. I understand people's disappointment in not being able to just play freely but if that were allowed the grass would be worn down in 3 months and the underlying soil surface eroded in 6. As a parent of a CHSA player I am thankful the pitch is locked and controlled. The park is super well maintained, the playground is very fun and the neighborhood in general...
