I wish i could give them a 0/5....Highly recommend to never visit this establishment for repair of instruments or giving them any of your hard earned money. After being told 3 weeks on July 10 for repair of a trombone it required having Sylvania PD and making a police report to finally get the instrument back. Multiple calls made to which i had the displeasure of speaking with the miserable human named Greg who gave me nothing but the run around on the repair. He told me multiple occasions to not call about an update that he would just call when it was done. 7 weeks of this and on the final call Greg never told me that pieces were sent out just to stop calling him. He was told on the last call that I would be there to pick up the trombone fixed or not the next day. The next day I showed up to get the instrument to be told Greg the salesman wasn't there. I told the other worker I wanted the instrument and the this Greg fellow was told I was coming for the instrument. This employee stated he had no clue where the trombone was but then found it with 2 pieces missing and unable to locate them along with Gregs number. The Sylvania PD were called to the store to asist me in getting my prrperty back. The officer showed up wanting to speak with Greg who refused to return to the store but text the other employee to tell us the pieces had been sent out. Upon a police explain a report would help and the officer explaining to myself and other employee that this Greg had given a verbal contract with a written contract of 3 weeks and nowrefusing to give back all pieces to the instrument, because as Greg is now saying we're sent out that he would be facing theft charges. After leaving the store with not a full trombone the coward Greg returned to the store and had stated that the pieces were sent back to the wrong address but magically were back at the store. Upon returning to retrieve the rest of the instrument Greg proceed to move slowly to the front of the store digging said pieces that were sent out from under several other items. I don't suggest anyone to give any of their hard earned money to this...
Read moreI don't like to support the bigger chains, so I took a look at this place the other day. The store is relatively cramped, but is still interesting to be in. They had no customers at the time of me experiencing the staff, unfortunately. One employee didn't even play guitar, and yeah he could still be knowledgeable, but instead he only tried to be funny every so often/try to get me to buy more. Still he was a good employee, and made me feel welcomed to an extent. The other old gentlemen acted as if I were a 12 year old just looking at guitars for the first time. Tells me they have a wonderful selection of lefty guitars. Brings me to a $600 electric of a brand I've never even heard of and just walks away after i'm not interested. Didn't ask what sound i'm looking for, didn't ask what music I play, didn't suggest an amp, didn't help me find more lefty stuff and didn't even exit the conversation properly after I showed no interest in the bland $600 guitar. Also ignored multiple questions I had like I wasn't worth it. Just that guy alone gives me the impression the entire store would have no problem ripping off newer players, because you're only after the money of your business. No passion here. Just Businessmen. Commission salary is tough. You could at least fake interest, or help people find what they want to buy when they come to you with questions. Even if what they want isn't at your store. Otherwise you should take down that sign in the parking lot that states "musicians only". 2/10 wouldn't recommend. There are so much better places to spend your money and bond with better...
Read moreFriendly and helpful place with more instruments than anywhere else or the ability to get them. Decided to get each of my kids an instrument for Christmas and ended up at guitar center but they didn't have violins. After searching around online nowhere could guarantee delivering it prior to Christmas so I checked out a couple of other local places that had some beat up looking stuff or none. I ended up at Richards Music on the Tuesday the week of Christmas and they had almost 10 violins hanging in plane sight. After telling the guy the size I was looking for he checked the price of the violin which was way above my price range so I thought I was SOL but he grabbed the owner out of the back and I talked to him about what I was looking for and he told me he could order what I needed and get it in on Thursday, Christmas Eve. I was skeptical but didn't really have any other option but when Christmas Eve rolled around they gave me a call when it was delivered and the guy hooked me up with information on multiple private teachers. I was extremely happy with...
