I've enjoyed my experiences with Taft College. The Advisor Ms. Casablanca is such a sweet helpful individual,I don't feel rushed when we met, and said i could reach out to her via email anytime I had questions-how awesome is that? I can call the counseling office and get quick questions answered right away, and I feel like me and the college share the same goals for myself and graduation. They send email notifications for upcoming dates and offers explanations for decisions made (for example, the priority registration email explained how it is calculated and how the groups are divided up). I've only taken online classes, but all the teachers Ive had so far have been very open to questions and seem to have good attitudes. The also offer career study groups and business admin meeting groups, and they continue to grow in possibilities. With BC I always felt like I was just another body getting pushed through all the processes, with my paper always getting lost, and constantly being required to see the counselor for the smallest questions.    Read moreThe court reporting program is horrible. It is not even held at Taft or regulated by Taft. NONE of the staff are licensed court reporters or have ever held a license. They are not knowledgeable in the field. They are highly unorganized and unprofessional. The program director and local court reporters claim this is one of the best programs in the nation.
