Oh! My! Gosh! I'll see if I can come up with enough positive adjectives to adequately reflect how great The Tannery Barn and the staff were during the planning and implementation of our wedding and reception on July 10, 2020! First, we planned this COVID-19 adapted wedding and reception adhering to all the Maryland guidelines and restrictions! And, we planned this wedding in THREE WEEKS! Victoria met me and my fiancé and took us on a guided tour of the Tannery Barn herself (She is the owner!). She also accommodated me bringing my BFF (who is in a wheelchair) at a later date. She listened carefully to our hopes and dreams as well worked respectfully with the reality of our budget. Victoria and her team were very quick in responding to questions via email and text. They helped us getting necessary event insurance and shuttle service. Victoria, also a well renowned and successful florist handled all the flowers - they were beyond my expectations beautiful! The Tannery Barn was spotless and comfortable. It was tastefully decorated with candles lit at the stone fireplace to make it look like a lovely altar. Our guests, even social distancing during the ceremony and reception, commented how comfortable they felt as if they were an upscale party- not at all stiff or formal. Victoria thoughtfully planned and worked with us to safely distance our guests' chairs as well as the singers and musicians during the wedding. Victoria collaborated easily with our caterer to provide safe food and beverage service to our guests. She and her staff cleared chairs away seamlessly after the ceremony (during hors d'oeuvres) so that we could later dance on the beautiful hardwood floors where the ceremony had been. Victoria was open and set clear guidelines so there were no questions or unknown details as well she was open to talking though all of my desires (e.g. for a sparkler send off). But the thing that impressed me the most was how respectful and professional as well as genuinely kind, willing, generous, and warm Victoria and Sara as well as all the team were. She and the team truly made me feel special and I could tell she really put her heart into this wedding and reception! I couldn't have asked for a better experience or for a better venue than The Tannery Barn! You should choose this venue... you will not regret it!!!...

The space feels intimate and warm, and being there is like a breath of fresh air. When planning a wedding, it is essential to know that the vendors you book are in your corner, and I felt that with The Tannery Barn from the start. I didn't want my wedding to feel like a cookie-cutter wedding, and some venues we visited in our search made us feel like that; however, The Tannery Barn has multiple spaces that allow for your creative juices to flow freely and they support your vision. The outdoor patio is perfect for cocktail hour (and a fun send-off!). Our guests loved playing cornhole and ladder ball on the lawn, and they enjoyed exploring the grounds! Not only will your guests enjoy the food and drinks, but their senses will love the sounds and sights of the nature-filled backdrop of The Tannery Barn. The pavilion has ample space for you and your guests to have the party of the year. The chandeliers, spiral staircase, large windows, and wooden features give the space a modern farmhouse feel. We had plenty of space for our guest list of close to 200 and a nine-piece band. We danced the night away. The historic barn is the icing on the cake. Read moreWe fell in the love with the Tannery Barn when we first saw the beautiful white barn exterior along with the arrangements of flowers and greenery on the outside. The venue was perfect for us having the modern touch’s but with the old charm of a barn venue. All of the spaces at the venue are perfectly done and lend themselves to create a perfect wedding day experience from start to finish. While there are so many amazing aspects to this venue, there is one that we have to point out specifically and that is our day of coordinator David. He really was our point of contact for the entire wedding including the months leading up to the wedding day. He helped us plan and answer any questions we had and made sure everything was in order well in advance. On the wedding day David simply put was the single most instrumental key to making sure everything ran smoothly and he did it unbelievably well. He made sure everything and I mean everything was perfect and according to what we had wanted or discussed. He was constantly checking up on us and getting us anything that we needed. He always had this calm and focused demeanor and always followed through with what he said. We cannot tell you how many of our friends and family came up to us and said how amazing David was and they wished they had someone like that at their wedding. He not only made our day perfect, he made it a wedding experience to remember for everyone else and for that we can’t thank him enough.
