Nice little local place in downtown Taneytown that has been there for many years. Typical breakfast foods. We ordered the 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, two waters and a hot tea. Food was sort of bland, hot water for tea felt like it was tap water hot and took a while to steep my tea, potatoes were under cooked and the amount of unmelted butter on the toast was enough to butter 3 times the amount of toast. (I added a picture of the excess butter) I was given two tea bags and wasn't asked if I wanted more hot water till I was finished the meal. Bacon was cooked perfect as were the eggs. Seemed a little pricey for the Atmosphere was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

The waffles for to go are much thinner than the waffles you get in store and they charge you the same. And when confronted they’ll straight up deny everything. This issue must’ve been addressed multiple times bc the lady immediately responded with the fact that they’ve had the same waffle machine for years. Bc if I was the first person to address this issue the normal response should’ve been shock and confusion. I’ve also brought up the pix on their “website” (I meant Google website) are completely different. And they hung on to “we dont have a website” I continued to repeat “GOOGLE” they either r too unintelligent or couldn’t care less about conning and lying to their customers.

If you are in/near Taneytown, MD this is a must visit. Small, family owned diner with the most amazing comfort food. Only open for breakfast and lunch, we ate breakfast twice on our recent visit. Once just wasn't enough! The food is cooked fresh after you order, so it takes a bit longer than fast food, but it's so worth the wait. With our party of 7 we ate a bit of everything. The biscuit and gravy divine, the omelets very generous and delicious, the French toast and waffles amazing. You can't go wrong!

If I could give it 0 stars I would but I had to choose a star, I started to order my food on the phone and proceeded to go on with my first item of food and was going onto my second, as I was ordering my second item I asked for just a omelette with cheese and bacon and he started listing off toast and if I wanted ketchup with the home fries. I told him no I just wanted the omelette and his responds was it comes with it so do you still want it? I kept telling him I just wanted the omelette and what my first item was but he/ it was getting rude with his tone so I told him I’ll just come in and order. As I tried to speak to someone higher up, They all talked to each other and laughed so I tried speaking to the owner. They told me they can’t give that information out/no so I left and then came back in so I can get my family‘s food that I tried to order over the phone. As I walked in a customer was in front of me in line, they took their order then The person that was on the phone was about to take my order and as I approached he/it said what do you want? I said an omelette with cheese and bacon he said what did you say so I spoke up so he/it could hear me and he/it said never mind if I was going to be rude and just turned around and walked away as that happened I started to talking to the cook/manager about what happened since he/ it wanted to turn around and after she asked what do I want? I said the omelette with cheese and bacon that’s it Can I get it or not? and then two of their other customers that was dinning in came up and tried grabbing me by my shoulder to escort me out because I disturbed their breakfast over this altercation, and I looked at the manager/cook and I said you’re really gonna let them treat your other customers like this as she smiled and laughed as they consistently push my shoulder, grab me by my arm and throat, causing a altercation disturbing the...

I tried to order a open face turkey sandwich, but the menu was wrong because they didn't have any turkey. So I ordered a tuna melt sandwich with French fries and Ask the waitress to substitute the Fries for the chips, which she charged me double for. On the positive side the fries were excellent as well as the tuna melt sandwich. I then inquired about the coconut cream pie for dessert and again that the menu was wrong because they didn't have any coconut cream pie. So I ordered a piece of canolli cake for nearly $7. The waitress correctly encouraged me to have it delivered in a take out container because the piece was huge. That's the good news. The bad news is that it was not a canola cake Because cannolis are made with racotta cheese, And there was absolutely no ricotta cheese Anywhere nor was there any whipped cream at all. Essentially their canole cake was miniature chocolate chips with butter frost icing and yellow cake. My advice is to stay away from the desserts completely And order basic foods there such as sandwiches , but don't be surprised if they don't have the food that's shown on the menu. So I spent $22 for tuna melt sandwich, French fries, a piece of canola cake, And a cup of coffee. Yes yes I will never return because their prices are astronomical And the deserts were thoroughly disappointing. Then many of the items on the menu they simply don't have. In terms of size, it is extremely tight And the restrooms are even smaller. Perhaps the best step one can expect from this restaurant is to order a sandwich and...

We have always come here and had great experience so this morning we got up and planned to go have a nice family breakfast with the kids. We truly are shocked at how awful the food was. The lady serving was nice and no one was rude but the food this time was awful.. My French toast with Strawberry topping was so overloaded with the topping gel that it was everywhere. My first bite I had discovered a piece of something hard in my mouth and pulled out a piece of plastic fork. It wasn't mine bc I was using silverware. My son said no whipped cream and they put it on anyway, no big deal bc I love whipped cream, but we all couldn't even eat it bc it tasted like chemicals. My husband asked for Eggs Benedict on a biscuit and they gave him toast instead. All my kids and my husband were craving some homefries and none of them could eat them bc they tasted like they had been soaked in dishwater. We are not the kind of people that feel comfortable speaking up bc we don't like to complain or make a scene so we just asked for the check. When walking up to pay they asked how was everything? We did let them know a few of these things and they were kind enough to take 2 meals off. We were surprised bc we had eaten here and the food was always excellent but this time we were very...
