A disgrace of an ice arena and for hockey lovers. Both times I have visited this place was a terrible experience. First visit I was lucky to get any help with skate sharpening as was told basically that they were too busy at the moment. So I patiently wait and observe the two men or owners just conversing about nothing while doing nothing which left me to think what is it your so busy with that you can't sharpen skates it takes 5 minutes.
The next visit I planned for a while to skate there, considering it's the closest rink to me because I live in west Branch ( a half hour drive) I thought it would be more convienent than Bay City or Midland (about an hour drive).
So I arrive before 5 on a Saturday because their website says STICKS AND PUCKS FRIDAY AND SATURDAYS! 5 to 6:45. So I go to check it out and what do I discover is the arena is close maybe because it's summer? Don't get a lot of business but there is nothing on the website saying CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER nor on their phone answering machine which just reassures there is Stick and pucks. Even the sign out front advertises sticks and pucks but NO WHERE DID I FIND ANYTHING ABOUT BEING CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER
TERRIBLE BUSINESS THANKS FOR WASTING MY GAS AND MY TIME
YOUR RINK LOOKS LIKE CRAP YOU NEED TO MOW AND ACTUALLY TAKE CARE OF WHAT BLESSING YOU HAVE
SINCERLY HOCKEY FAN/...
Read moreIt was a great place to visit to watch my niece's hockey game. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seats. Plenty of concessions including hot beverages to warm you up. One of the best parts was the $0 entry! They also do a great haunted house and escape room in October. I hear nothing but good about Tawas...
