Wow, what a phenomenal experience we had with our guides Brett and Landon on our trail ride yesterday! I’ve been on a lot of public and private trail rides in my lifetime and this was by far one of the very best. Brett has a magnetic friendliness that gives people and horses a sense of total ease around him. We’re glad we got to ride in the back with him so he could tell us all about the history of the canyon and point out all the cool (and useful) plants and trees as we passed. We loved riding our horses Maverick and Biscuit - Brett took great pride in matching each person with exactly the right horse for them and we could tell how much love and care all the horses at Wilderness Ridge receive on the daily. Brett even let me feed our horses some apple and carrot at the end of our ride, which was a treat for all of us! I highly recommend going on a trail ride through the stunningly beautiful Navajo sandstone canyons of Capitol Reef National Park with Brett and his team at Wilderness Ridge Adventures if you’re in the area, the experience is well...

This was the highlight of my family's vacation to Capitol Reef. The horseback riding was so amazing! Our guide, Justin, was very attentive to my family and our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the terrain and gave us a wonderful lesson and experience. He was a true gentleman and we could not have asked for a more pleasurable experience. The horses were so evenly tempered. My daughter, who had never ridden before, basically let go of the reins to take pictures, and the horse kept going right along without needing encouragement. We cannot wait to come down here again and take another tour. We might even try the llamas next time. It is also fair to mention that the kind lady I dealt with over the phone, Carli, was awesome! She made everything so easy to pay for and helped me get the paperwork done quickly. So impressive! Pricey, but pretty fair for the tour you get. Very impressed. Highly...

My husband I can’t say enough about our fantastic experience with these folks! Everyone was enthusiastic and helpful. Care was taken in advance to match horses with their riders and we received thorough instructions before heading out. They provided water bottles, safety helmets, and a sack which hung from the saddle. Our guides were Kristy and Brett, such delightful people full of smiles and information ranging from the horses’ personalities to the geography and history of the land. They also took photos of us on our horses for us. Riding through Capitol Reef surroundings was amazing! We’d recommend this trip for beginners and up. We...

Did one of the two hour 8:30am guided tours with head wrangler Mike. Having little to no horse experience, Mike made sure we (and the horses) were very comfortable throughout the little over two hour ride. Would highly recommend if you want to live out your cowboy/girl dreams.
