I used to have great experiences with this company, but lately it has not been so good. I had an issue with one of their locations and I wrote a very polite and informative email to them making them aware of the situation. Almost a week went by and I got no response. Not even a "Thank you for letting us know, we are looking into this." reply. Which is usually standard practices, acknowledge a customer's issue. I then followed up with a second email hoping that they would at least reply, still nothing. I went to their facebook page and sent them a message via messenger. Still no reply. So, I am writing about it here hoping that it might get their attention. Please let me add that I am a long-term customer. I have been buying parts and accessories from them for quite some time. The location that I usually visit is not far from where I grew up and shopping there always brings me a sense of nostalgia. Generally, I have had great experiences with the staff there, except for this last time. I was assuming that this was a good, reputable organization that really cared about the customer experience in their stores. I mean, I am there to spend money which ultimately benefits the organization. Perhaps they could at least acknowledge me and my issue. That's really all I ever wanted. Just a reply letting me know my complaint was at least heard. I would think that customer input would be invaluable to an organization that depends on the retail customer to support the business. Read moreI chose this company because it was open on Sunday and I read some very good reviews. I went in with a burnt push start switch and explained that I purchased the clothes dryer without a warranty for $200 (originally priced $700). After installing it I found that it would start but wouldn't continue running once I released the push start switch. With a closer inspection I found a flash burn mark on the inside of the control panel which lead me to the push start switch. Anthony at Appliance Parts Co. explained that the switch might not be the only problem. He said that on some units the switch sends a signal to the motor, and that the motor has an internal switch that keeps the motor running. If this was true in my case I would need a new motor. Luckily it was priced at reasonable $79 + tax and they had it in stock. With closing time quickly approaching my first thought was to buy the motor as well. Instead of selling me a motor that I might not need, Anthony talk me out of that. He suggested that I go straight home and try the new switch. If it didn't fix the problem, that I could call him and he and the motor would be at the counter waiting for me. Luckily the switch is all that I needed to fix the problem. And I was very thankful that I didn't have to go back to A.P.C. to buy the new motor but even more thankful that I didn't have to go back to return a motor that I didn't need. Read moreMy upstairs AC went out and I figured out I needed either a blower motor or fan (squirrel cage). I went to a different HVAC supplier and their customer service sucked and the people there didn’t know much and they didn’t have the part I originally thought I needed (motor). I then called 2 other AC companies and had to leave messages and neither called me back. Then I called APC because I had bought a couple parts for my refrigerator and dryer over the past couple years and has good experiences both times and thought they could maybe refer me to a HVAC supplier. Come to find out they sell HVAC parts and they are friendly and knowledgeable. After talking to Eric he said my problem is most likely just the fan itself (squirrel cage). He spent 20 minutes on the phone with me right at closing time. I went the next day and bought the fan from them that they sourced locally that morning. They went the extra mile and have great customer service. Because of that I was fine paying $60 more than the internet - at least they don’t price gouge like some others).
