Forever Yoga — Local services in Tempe

Forever Yoga is IT! The studio is warm, welcoming, and full of friendly instructors. However, what keeps me coming back week after week are the Forever Power classes with Dory.

After trying various yoga classes at different yoga studios in the valley, I can honestly say that Dory is the best yoga instructor I’ve ever had. Her Forever Power classes provide the perfect amount of challenge, and her verbal instructions make it so easy for even a novice like me to understand exactly what I need to do for each and every pose. She is extremely attentive and provides cues and optional modifications throughout the class. Her guidance has allowed me to actually focus on my breathing (something I struggled to do in other classes) and improve my own yoga practice. After just a couple of months taking her classes, I have noticed a huge improvement in my overall strength, balance, and flexibility.

Today I joined Forever Yoga on a 2 week new student membership and then attended the Monday 9am class with Amy.

Amy was so understanding, caring and created the space for me, as she was preparing her class, she also was able to give me a tour.

I mentioned that I would need to leave the class 5 mins earlier, and she politely informed me that was ok to do so.

As I was picking up my mat, she came over and I apologized for not being able to do all the poses in the class and that I had to leave earlier.

She said “You’re exactly where you’re ment to be”

I felt seen, heard and understood.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews and this isn’t particularly a bad review just some comments for people looking to come here. I’ve enjoyed this studio in the past, which is why I came back after some time away. Yesterday I signed up for a 7:00 pm class and I arrived at 7:02 , but the door was locked. The sign on the door clearly says it locks 5 minutes after class starts, so that was pretty disappointing , especially after driving 30 minutes. I knocked on the door and called the studio but no answer, so I left. I understand the importance of being on time to these classes but if there’s a stated policy, it should be followed by the business itself .
