Will Not Recommend. I have been there three times. On the first, the dish was not right. Specifically, the onions were not carmelized and there were far too many onions for Matter Panir and it was soupy, runny. On the second time the buffet was excellent including my favorite dish Matter Panir and the garlic bread. On BOTH Occassions I had my service dog with me and there was no trouble. On the third time I was directed to sit outside which I did not want to do. Even though I presented my service dog, a black Labrador, licenses and registration and I explained to him that in America service animals have federal rights to be there and he can not refuse, he refused anyway. That man who refused me service admitted he was in our country illegally. Honestly, I think this place is racist. They do not have a single Caucasian working there and I do not think they like Caucasians. The women who waited upon me previous times also had extreme language difficulties and I think they employ undocumented workers also known as illegal aliens. I informed that man that I would not be back and, even the buffet was quite good, I can not recommend Passage to India. They need to hire people who can legally be here and legally work here. They need to stop being prejudiced against Caucasians and service dogs. In short, the owners and managers of Passage to India need to abide by our laws or close up and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is badly run and managed. Everyone from the owner to the employees to the food quality and pricing is just out of sync with consistency and quality. I used to go to this place few years back, however was terribly unsatisfied with the buffet and ala carte food items as the food ingredients are stale, low quality and very dry. When mentioned to the owner, he shows no sign of wanting to engage and connect with the customer. Instead he gives excuses after excuses. Once my friend ordered the chicken tandoori and the dish came out real quick, however it reeked of a pungent odour and tasted really repulsive. When a complained was made, the employee quickly brushed it off and said that is how their chicken is when baked in the oven. I feel that place is run by people who only cared about profits and not customer service. Buffet is stilll horrible till this very day. There are way better restaurants within close proximity that have buffet for the same price but much better quality, consistency and taste. People who actually rate this place is not aware of what makes merits good indian food and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReading the other reviews this is not the experience we had, we are very experienced Indian food lovers of many years. Ordered a la carte in the evening, maybe not the same chef? To top it off we had service from one of the young ladies that was not great, felt ignored much of the time. Later noticed her by the bathrooms texting.
Papadums were brought out for the intro were burned and not too good. One of the dishes my wife orders (Kadahi) was inedible, we ordered a replacement after getting the attention of one of the other waiting staff. A couple seated after, beside us left without placing an order, maybe ignored too? The final nail in the coffin for us and this place, we were charged for the additional plate, which I wouldn't have minded if everything else was in order. My dish (makhani chicken) was not bad but my stomach was not good later in the evening, could have been something else but this just fits having a cook that doesn't care.
There are plenty of other good Indian restaurants in...
