Let me start by saying that the staff here are very friendly. That being said, thereās a huge gap in communication between the initial admission representative, āadvisorsā, financial aid, professors, and director of education.
Iāll start with my transcripts - they were missing one from my application. I requested information on where to send it. They gave me the wrong email and followed up stating they hadnāt received it.
I was asked numerous times if they had received my enrollment papers, taken my school ID photo followed by my actual ID being handed to me twice, and then asked about my uniform size. (They have you fill out paperwork for this information and still manage to lose it?)
I went two weeks without a book I needed for my program. When I asked about it I was directed to the Director of Education who didnāt know what book I needed or where it was located. When they located the shelf with my book it was out of stock. Needless to say, I had to borrow a book from my professor.
I didnāt receive my school āsequencingā (the plan for my education to complete my program) until my first week. My credits were transferred over based on the comparisons of the courseās descriptions which I thought was odd. The schedule also stated class was on Tuesday, but when we all showed up it was actually suppose to be Wednesday. Apparently our class wasnāt the only one affected by this āissueā.
I had to reach out to financial aid several times because I didnāt know what they would be charging me per semester only to be told they were waiting on the director of education for weeks.
Canvas was down the first week of school so any assignments for online classes were delayed because we couldnāt access them. Which it seems like when I went to class in person that this is something that happens regularly. On one occasion I reached out to a professor and he asked me if I followed the instructions on how to access the course. I stated yes and sent over a screenshot of the error just to be told I was doing it wrong, twice. Shortly followed by him stating his course would need to be rebooted due to technical difficulties.
You will be told that you have to meet with insert department here and wonāt be told if that specific person is available that day. When youāre someone who travels 30-45 minutes from home to the campus this isnāt ideal.
All in all, I believe this college is outlandishly overpriced for the lack of services, outdated technology, poor operation styles, and disorganization they offer to their students. To say this experience was disappointing would be an understatement. I would recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have attended and graduated both the Tampa campus for the Medical Assistant Diploma but I also attended the Orlando campus for the bridge for the Associates Degree portion of Medical Assisting. I can't express enough how much I love the small class sizes and the amount of time teachers spend with their students to help answer any questions you may have. I feel like I really got lucky with the teachers when I attended back in May 2020 - March 2021 for the Medical Assistant program, unfortunately 2 of the teachers are no longer there that helped make my experience the best that it was. Compared to community colleges, the material is so much easier to understand and really take in being you're focusing on what you need to know for this field instead of going on bunny trails of unnecessary information. I also appreciated how the school offered for my phlebotomy certification to be covered since my GPA and attendance met the requirements for the certification to be covered at the schools expense. The only things I would say were a con is that I was never aware of the accreditation of the school. I have 96 credits from attending this school, but due to accreditation... not a single credit will transfer to other colleges except for Keiser University and thats excluding the Anatomy and Physiology course being it doesn't have a lab with it. Also, Ms. Shaden is hands down the BEST teacher you will ever have. She is definitely one of the biggest reasons for my success with the program. If you have her as a teacher, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a scam. The administration is manipulative and will make you feel like you are in good hands. This is a lie! Your credits will not transfer equally to a state university. They are not accredited the same as universities. National vs. Regional accreditation is a big deal if you want to transfer schools. I was forced to repeat classes-even though i passed with an A bc material was outdated. I was told false information on how my degree is actually recognized amongst hospitals and accredited throughout. Since ive graduated, no employer takes this degree into account. My experience and years is what keeps me employed at a very low income level-with little room for advancement in the specific field. They refused to give me my official diploma, due to a book charge dispute and and email confirmation that it was paid was not good enough. 10+ I have still not received my diploma. After a year payment was due for tuition. My loan was bought and sold 8x without my knowledge. It confusing and unclear. My loan was also set up by the school and i was told not to worry. I was a kid, just moved to florida, no family or friends...I trusted that surely a school would not scam me...i was wrong! I graduated years ago and will have to deal with this hassle for the rest of my life! I also dont make enough to support a family, pay living bills, eat, AND pay back 4years of wasted time. Dont waste your...
