DuBois Furniture — Local services in Temple

We visited Dubois furniture for the first time a few months ago, on our second day as Temple residents. We had closed on our new home the day before and were told by our moving company shortly afterwards, that the moving van holding all of our belongings would not be delivered that day as promised. Instead it would arrive several weeks later. We decided that our best option was to immediately purchase a sectional sofa, (which we had planned to do anyway once we had the original furniture we planned to keep in the home) so that we would have both seating and a place to sleep until our furniture arrived. We had seen a furniture store close to our home earlier, so we headed over to DuBois.

Scott greeted us as we walked in the door. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as we searched for a piece of furniture that would serve the temporary role of both bed and seating for the next three weeks. As we looked at their large selection, we explained to him the circumstances in which we found ourselves with relation to the move. We explained that whatever we purchased must be available for delivery immediately because it would be our sole piece of furniture for the next three weeks. We found the perfect piece! Now, Scott checked the delivery schedule.

Unfortunately delivery was booked solid for several days. Now what? We needed something ASAP! What happened next was unbelievable. Scott understood our dilemma and called his wife. She had an SUV and agreed to help him get the sectional to our house that afternoon! The two of them made 4 trips to deliver all the pieces and set it up for us. This was customer service that went above and beyond.

Since then, we have purchased other pieces from Dubois and experienced the same unbelievable friendliness and superb customer service, (although it wasn't necessary for Scott and his wife to deliver the furniture this time. 😁). Because they so obviously care about their customers and were willing to go above and beyond to help in what was truly a miserable situation, I would recommend DuBois Furniture and Scott to anyone looking for quality furniture and a fantastic...

Update 2/28/25 Still a 5 star experience. We found Scott as soon as we walked in and he was able to take us directly to what we were looking for and helped us make the whole process smooth and easy. We ended up spending less time that we expected and not only got exactly what we wanted but also found a couple other things. I still highly recommend Scott and Dubois as a whole especially after visiting the other area furniture stores and the consistent level of quality and service we’ve had on our visits.

After looking at the other stores in town we came right back realizing this was the best store in town by far. The store is bright, clean and well laid out with a large selection and a lot of great items. There are a lot of good sales and good prices making it an all around easy decision to buy.

The sales staff, Scott specifically but everyone I interacted with, were friendly and not putting pressure on us at any point. Scott gave us space to look and decide but was prompt to respond and answer any questions we had. Very knowledgeable and able with his stock.

The prices, quality and delivery fees were better than anywhere else we looked.

I highly recommend looking here for furniture over anywhere else in town, especially if you like to shop local and USA made. Looking forward to coming back when we need...

Let me start off by saying that I’m very indecisive, most importantly I like to be given ample time without a pushy sales rep down my throat. We were in need of new living room furniture, since I’m very indecisive trust me when I say DuBois is the only furniture store in the area that has quality furniture, built to last! I visited two others, and I always end back up at DuBois. I entered DuBois yesterday evening right before closing, wasn’t swarmed, but graciously greeted by David. When I say that other sales reps could really learn from David, I truly mean it! Not pushy, wrote down measurements, let me sit and make decisions on which pieces I would like to share with my husband and never once tried to sell me anything before I left the store. My husband couldn’t meet me yesterday so David was willing to arrive early and work with our schedules. Did we leave with what I picked out to show him? Absolutely not but again didn’t push anything, helped me rearrange furniture on day 2, so that I could envision it, just super patient. I am beyond grateful that I was able to make a decision I wouldn’t get later that I didn’t love! Thanks David for your superb service, for dealing with me at the end of your day and again at the beginning of your day!! Can’t wait to see those beautiful pieces...
