Typically a decent shipley. Today however was the worst experiment I have ever had in dealing with customer service. I work in customer service and I know it can be rough sometimes but today was un believable. I showed up this morning to get some thing for a work event and a young woman with heart tattoos on her neck (just a description since I don’t know her name, nothing against tattoos) took my order. after purchasing my order I realized it would not be enough so I ordered more. At this time I am still the only person in the drive through. While she was taking the second order I told her “and on a completely separate order I need three doctor pepper and three kolaches. She then handed me back a receipt with the orders together. I let her know that It wasn’t supposed to be together because the first order was for business on a business card and the separate order was personal and I needed to used a different card. The girl immediately got defensive and told me I should have been more specific. After explaining to her again that this needed to be fixed she continued to tel me it was my fault and was extremely mean and rude. Finally she said she would refund and fix things and continued to tell me I needed to fix MY attitude because it was my fault she got it wrong. After being treated this way through the entire transaction I finally asked to speak to a manager. At this point someone finally drove up behind me in the drive through. She then told me it could wait because people were waiting on me and I was holding up their line. She still had my card in her hand. I asked for my card back and again asked to speak to a manager. Mean while everyone in the kitchen was watching because they were obviously not busy and not a single person interjected or got a manager so I’m assuming there wasn’t one. At this point I’m getting very frustrated and demanded to speak with someone about how she was acting and she SLAMMED THE DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW AND STUCK HER TONGUE OUT AT ME AND WALKED AWAY. I was beyond awestruck. Never in my life working in customer service has that ever been ok. I would have been fired on the spot no matter what the situation was if I had ever done that to a customer. A gentle man who had been standing by opened up the window and unfortunately stood there and listened to me go off about that girls behavior. That was totally unacceptable. I would have simply let the manager know of the situation and been on my way. I understood that people get into altercations how ever sticking ur tongue out at a customer is so beyond wrong and rude. I had two witnesses in my car and I would greatly appreciate it if the manager would give me a call or email me. I go to this shipleys with my three year old often and have never had issues until...
Read moreI'm giving a 2 star because the while the folks there were great, the kolachies tasted like they were old and dried out. I purchased 4 and had tossed a portion of the bread on one away because it was so hard, thinking maybe it was because it was the end. I took a bite and it tasted like it was old or cooked too long. I called and was told to bring them back. I took 3 1/2 back to them. They were great enough to exchange them for some which just came out of the oven, but only gave me 3 - I guess because I had tried to eat half of one. I decided to test before I got home. Same thing. I had to toss the first part away because it was hard. One the whole, the bread was real thin, hard and tasted old or something. I guess its whatever it is they use. The ones from the Shipley Don-Nuts on 31st St are way better. The bread is soft, fresh and thicker than a piece of cardboard. I haven't tried the donuts I bought yet. I hope they're better than...
Read moreI cannot believe how this area has grown over the past several years. What makes it better is having Shipley's Donuts. Granted they are a multi business chain but each are unique in their own way. This is what makes this Shipley's Donuts stands out from the rest. Very friendly staff always gives you the freshest 🍩 every day especially early morning when they are still warm .They also have an assortment of kalaches, coffees, milks and breakfast sandwiches. No leftovers at this place. Even after lunch I still see the drive-thru busy. Thanks and...
