Stripes — Local services in Texico

Stopped yesterday and got Subway and fuel. My wife and I drive a lot, about 50,000 miles a year, so we see a lot of gas stations. The entire staff here was just so friendly. The manager, Maria, was super helpful and kind.

The young kid working in Subway was also very friendly. Even gave some good recommendations a on how to make our sandwiches better.

I am a mobility challenged individual who needed to stop, get gas, and use the restroom... There was nobody in the women's restroom however the handicap stall was locked from the inside with no out of order sign posted...I was forced to use a smaller stall with no rails, and fell onto the seat, thus hurting my hips, more than I should have...I told The clerk and The clerk said he was unaware it was even locked... I don't recommend this stop...

Ya'll do understand that the many flies in here - they land on the dirty paper in the restroom garbage bin, and then come land on you - and all the food at the sub shop? Especially the turkey meat!! Maybe do something to improve the sanitation of the bathrooms? Instead of catering to the immigrants fresh from Mexico, put up some signs in Spanish telling them to FLUSH the used toilet...
