Thibodaux Regional Wellness Center — Local services in Thibodaux

I like the idea of merging physical, (maybe mental? maybe natural?) Health with standard doctor type stuff that they do there. And after watching their promotional video about 8 times over while waiting 2 hours for a quick 10 minute xray, I had to wonder who was it all for? That big gym, exercise rooms etc. Plus they want to put up tennis courts tracks etc. Does medical insurance cover this? I don't know, this would be great in the city but we're out here in the country, if you're not already huffing along as it is. You're more than likely not going to use this stuff. It'd be awesome to see a long walk trail along the bayou with some gym equipment. Anyway and who's paying for it? It took another 45 minutes to process my insurance (since this is my first time here) and like all hospitals gotta wait till I get my surprise bill. Then I'll really be getting a workout. Other functions of the hospital are done at the Wellness Center. My endocrinologist office is on the 3rd floor. I see him every three months. And I always get my blood drawn at the lab in the building. The people are very nice. They help me get around when I am alone and having trouble pushing the wheelchair.

A few months ago I fell outside the center when it was raining and someone reported it inside, many people came running to help me. I was embarrassed because I was on the ground and needed help getting up. They had no problem with helping me stand up, putting me in a wheelchair, and helping me get inside and dried off. I love it there, I just wish they were connected with my insurance plan so I could get a membership. Would love to...

Had an appointment there. The wellness Center helps to keep you healthy with high quality gym inside. I never asked about any type of membership.
