Don't bring your parents here...my mom was in the hospital & they refused to let us stay at her apartment. The executive director won't return my calls. When my mom fell & I wasn't called & when I asked why bcuz my brother who lives in Mexico & I are both POA . They said he was listed as #1, while I live here & care for them...I was told they wouldn't call me. Bedbugs were discovered in my parents apartment & I can't begin to tell you how badly we were treated. We were told we had to leave for 4 hrs. And it turned out to be all day & into the evening before they were allowed back. When we got back to their place the bed was turned on it's side & dirty laundry was laying all over. It was 7:30 in the evening & I had to have someone come fix the bed & make it. I ended up having to put my parents to bed in the clothes they left in because they hadn't been disinfected. I & my parents were met with rudeness. My mom was in the hospital & upon her release we went back & were told we couldn't stay bcuz they had to fumigate again this week...no answer as to when??? We were told to get a hotel. My dad is now in the hospital & now I'm wondering when this nightmare is going to end & wondering if were going to come back to another mess?? Oh, they washed everything after I asked & when we came back all the laundry was left in bags on the sofa....don't ask about the food situation when there was a few of the residents & my parents who got covid . Subpar food before this happened. The employees don't wait on the residents in the dining room. I witnessed the people being ignored. I plan on finding a better place for my parents once my dad is released from the hospital & rehab. Since my last review...it hasn't gotten any better. Sadly my mom was found in her recliner in the same clothes from the day before...nobody put her to bed. I was told they couldn't make her get ready for bed???! They pay $7400 a month & there is still not enough help!!! This is my mother... What is going on with the other...
Read moreThe memory care opened almost a year ago and has been a constant mess with huge staff turnover and poor coverage. It’s very difficult to get in the locked unit, there’s usually not a staff member at the desk, they can’t keep a receptionist more than a couple months, plus they pull them to help at meals. As a family we’ve waited any where from 15-30 plus minutes just to get someone to let us in. The executive director is rude, hostile and defensive, she refuses to take any responsibility for all the problems there. Her favorite thing to say is “No one else has complained about this”, yet I talk to family all the time with the same complaints. I waited 30 minutes for a care conference last week and she never showed up. When I found her she stated she “got busy”, no apology, no attempt to reschedule our meeting, etc. They haven’t had a nurse in months and I’ve seen the LPN from the ALF side 1 time at a meeting, that’s it. The last time I pushed the call light to get my loved one help it took about 30 minutes to get answered. The staff never takes initiative to help residents. I routinely have to ask them to do her laundry, changed soiled linens, clean messes in the bathroom, etc. I’ve had to have them re-clean the bathroom multiple times because they do a lazy job. The activities are lame, it’s great if your relative wants to color or do a really simple craft but a lot of residents don’t, especially the men. There’s absolutely nothing to do in the enclosed courtyard, I’ve asked for music and simple activities several times since last summer with no carryover. I moved my loved out, I would never recommend this place. It looks really nice at first glance because it’s new but it’s been an awful living...
