Runnings — Local services in Tilton

I was impressed with this store when they first opened. Being that we live in the country, my family relys heavily on this store to supply our water jugs and water softener salt. However, due to a recent experience, I am very disappointed with this store. The store hosted a woman's night recently. As frequent customers, we decided to check it out. While there, my wife signed up for a few raffles that they offered. The next day, while at work, my wife received a call from Runnings. Due to the fact that my wife gets poor service at work, she was unaware that she had a missed call. However, as soon as she got home and was aware, she made sure to call back. The person who answered told her that it looks like my wife won a raffle, and even told herwhich one of the raffles it was. My wife was then put on hold. Being that it was the raffle that we were most interested in, we got excited. However, once my wife was taken off hold, the employee told her that since she did not pick up the first time they called, that she did not win. Why someone would have a raffle with such conditions that require someone to be available to answer their phone during work hours is absolutely absurd and to briefly allow us to believe we one on top of it. Disappointed by how things went down, I reached out to Runnings through their website and their Facebook page. I was not expecting to get anything, but just wanted to make them aware of our disappointment. Almost a month later and I have heard nothing from either source. I am very disappointed with Runnings. I will never attempt to buy a gun here again. The other day i come in to check something out i saw online, the store had been open for 2 hours. For some reason, the sporting goods section wasn’t open yet. Today I come in to check again, over an hour before they close, once again, sporting goods is shut down. And the guy they had in there last time i purchased a gun here, was very unprofessional, used foul language, and bad talked his co-workers. And when i asked the girl up front if there is a set timespan that the gun department is open, she was a deer in the headlights and had no idea. I wouldn’t recommend a firearms purchase from Runnings unless you have a near unlimited amount of time to commit to the process. They will have to call in multiple employees to stand around a computer screen, none of which will know exactly what they are doing, and then will proceed to waste even more of your time trying to walk each other through the process as if it’s some sort of team sport. Their pricing isn’t any better than the local gun stores and they will incessantly badger you about buying whatever gun is in your hand. Overall, not a...
