PruittHealth - Toccoa — Local services in Toccoa

In my opinion, I would not recommend PruittHealth -Toccoa, GA to any Human Being. This place reaks of urine and feces. The drop ceiling in 107B is full of black mold from a leaking air conditioner. The patients & their visitors in Room 107B constantly had headaches possibly from the black mold in the drop ceiling. This place has roaches, leaky, & rusty bathroom sinks & toilets & needs a Rehabilitation of its own. It hurt me to see my 91 year old Mother recover from a broken knee followed by surgery in such a nasty disgusting place. The staff at Pruitt Rehabilitation Health Center are understaffed & because of this the staff is over worked and most of the staff do the best they can do in this unexceptable situation. I just hope the mold isn't causing health issues for the staff. The Physical Therapist Darren & Connie the social worker were awesome. I moved my mom out of Pruitt as soon as the doctor allowed her to be weight bearing to complete her PT at her assisted living instead of continuing with Darren because of these conditions. Mr. Pruitt should be ashamed of himself for allowing this facility to have ever gotten run down. I am sure he would never ever allow his mom or dad to be a patient in a facility in such poor condition. I would have appreciated a way to reach Mr.Pruitt but he has made that virtually impossible. God Bless the patients & the employees at this facility.

My father needed rehab before going home to gain strength after being in the hospital for a few weeks. We explained what we wanted to the admissions director and nurses staff at Toccoa Pruitt, and they were very attentive and encouraging that they would do everything possible to meet his needs. During his time there, the PT and OT team has worked with him consistently and communicated with me about his progress. They have prepared me of ways to help him when he gets home, and the patient representative has helped me get the things for his house to help him be safe and as independent as possible. The staff has made sure he was comfortable and active to encourage a healthy physical and mental state. The entire staff quickly became familiar with his personality and allowed him to be his jolly, happy, joking self. We appreciate the quality of care and the atmosphere provided by the staff at Toccoa Pruitt and would definitely choose them again in the...

This place should be closed! My mother in law was there for rehab for 3weeks and upon release the loaded her in car and made it half way home when she got really sick. Dr Watson and Hamilton just released her with a bad infection and oxygen levels dangerously low. And had 3 small strokes before we could get her to a hospital. We almost lost her. So it's pretty clear they was not doing there job.why wasn't she already on antibiotics?. The only thing I can figure is they are just drawing a check without doing there job . we also was washing her clothes at our home and when we picked them up the clothes still had the Dipper still in clothes. The place should be closed. The food is nasty and the staff is not professional. Pruitt owns most all these places around the state and should be closed. If you don't care about you love ones and want rid of them then take them to a Pruitt facility. I could...
