I have to say this about the VFW. I love this place, the environment is so inviting, the beer and liquor prices are inexpensive and the people who visit are very friendly. The bar staff have always been welcoming. We tend to visit when a band is playing or for bingo. I have enjoyed their food everytime I have visited (it is mostly bar type food). The reason that I gave it a 4 stars instead of a 5 stars is that you can't get a glass of water nor a glass of sweet tea. You have to buy it by the bottle, no exceptions. People can provide me reasons why it is not served, but for an organization who supports veterans who have served in war, a glass of tap water is not asking too much especially when many of the veterans are on a tight monthly budget. Why don't you get a 4 stage filtration system and serve purified drinking water and charge a penny per glass (you'll easily get your monies worth since many will last for 50k+ gallons before changing filters)?
