I want to share my experience with something people generally won't consider. I had a year's old petty theft case I just dealt with today in court. The lawyer and prosecutor along with JC Penney representative agreed on much reduced charges. I've completely turned my life around all these later and jail would seriously compromise that. The judge straight up said I deserve at least 10 days in jail. He made his opinion very apparent and needed no convincing to give jail time. He asked the JC Penney representative how he felt. Basically he said it's not ok what I did of course is not ok no matter the excuse but he's happy with our original agreement. Meaning restitutions and stay away but not jail time. We always think of corporations as heartless and that they will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. But this gentleman happily agreed to my getting much reduced charges. Then when the judge gave him the opportunity to essentially punish me he didn't do it. It could have been much different for me. So thank you so much for this second chance to build on my improvements JC Penney. That representative will probably never fully realize what a huge difference he just...
Read moreJC Penney has lost the plot. They’re so worried about profits that they have made the consumer experience unbearable, and I’m done giving them my business. I could write a novel about my experiences with them over the past few days, but I will just say their online vs. in-store sales need work, and some of their customer service reps are great while others, like Ray-Ana who worked the afternoon shift on Saturday 12-7, need to be retrained on very very basic customer service skills. Extremely unfriendly, uncaring, and not willing to explain policies. The fact that I picked up multiple bags of online-ordered items and was told I couldn’t be provided a bigger bag to carry it all in, with no explanation why, was annoying enough. Then immediately being asked to “round up” $.95 for donations… how about use the money you’re saving on bags and donate that instead of looking to your customers to support your tax write offs? Their coupons have too many stipulations and fine print and are useless half the time. I’m over it. Rounding up is anything over $.50. Rounding up...
Read moreHorrible!!! The lady that did my hair had zero customer service skills. Very awkward and boring.. but the worst part was the abusive feeling!! I had a wash, cut, dry, and straighten. She was constantly hitting me in the head with the hair brush ripping tangles out. Every time she used a clip to get my hair out of the way she yanked them out pulling hair out with them. While straightening she burnt my ear THREE times!! Also pulled hair out by getting it caught in the straightener. $47 is what I paid for pure torcher and pain. I was very disappointed to find out there was no manager working to discuss this with. When I told the lady at the front desk she apologized and also said they have brought this issue up to the employee before.. I will never return! Way to expensive for the horrible experience! I have full intentions of contacting a manager when they open. My hair has been thinning out so for her to RIP it out of my head is beyond unacceptable, especially after I told her I’ve been having issues with...
