Nori Japan — Restaurant in Toledo

Their food was not good years ago and their food is still not good to this day. After years of not having their food since they were not good before, I expected to see a change of quality. The thing is, the quality changed for the worst. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, which is the entree they will cook on the grill for you. I chose this entree because I do not trust food that's been sitting on a steam table for hours. Anyway, the chicken teriyaki was unfulfilling. The chicken seemed cooked beforehand, the sauce lacked flavor, and the rice was definitely old. It was not a pleasant experience for me. It seems there was no "love" in preparing the food and that is a red flag for me. Hours after of eating their food, it was not sitting well in my stomach. I felt sick all day and just wanted to throw up, but couldn't bring myself to do so. That being said, I do not recommend this restaurant. If possible, just go to Magic Wok a few stations over.

P.S. I also want to mention not ordering the beef teriyaki as well. My mother ordered it and it honestly looked like gray, mucus-y vomit over a bed of rice and vegetables. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece of meat and instantly spit it out. I could not palate the kind of texture the meat had and the sauce was way too overpowering with pepper. It was far beyond worse than my chicken teriyaki dish... I really hope Nori Japan does something to better the quality...

Went to Flanklin park mall, on a weekday around new year holidays, the girl with the glass there is not very patient. She is too rush and expect me order very fast I can tell by her altitude. Not very friendly or helpful at all. They need to understand that we are buying their food not for free it had to be worth our money.. People there are not very smiley. I feel uncomfortablo go buy their food. The noodle is not very good, I think they use fettuccine spaghetti noodle.. Instead Japanese. Noodle. Some stuff ok. Tell the server there to be more...

I always get the soba noodles and sesame chicken. Food is consistently good and the staff are always quick, efficient, sanitary, and ready to answer any questions you might have. A two item combo plate is $7.09 at the moment and you really can't beat that for the portions they give you, i can make it last 2 meals. This place is my guilty pleasure and if you're gonna visit the mall this holiday season stop in and support a small food chain. Also, please tip! You can tip on your card, as well as in cash, just ask to add at checkout....
