My family and I were looking for a new place to eat and we decided to give Don Juan's Bar & Grill a try. Let me tell you that we are very happy that we did. The restaurant is charming, warm and friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious. We started our meal with the beef and cheese nachos and when they brought them to the table the portion was huge. They were delicious and well worth the price. For dinner I had the ground beef and chicken chimichangas and they were the best that I've had in a long time. My wife had the shredded beef and carnitas chimichangas and the meat in both were tender and delicious. Our son had the combo#11 which had a ground beef taco, a ground beef burrito and a ground beef enchilada. The server that we had was the manger's wife and she was very friendly and always checking on us. She made it a very enjoyable experience for us. The desserts were just as delicious and well worth the price as the dinner. My wife got the fried ice cream. I got the chimi cheesecake with ice cream. Our son had the churros with ice cream and it was in this huge sundae glass. Look, if you are looking for someplace to take the family or just a quiet dinner for 2 Don Juan's is the place to go. You will not be...
Read moreMy Gal and I stopped in Saturday noon for lunch , the cleaner or sterilizing agent they use makes you nauseous, the whole place reeked. We sat there and waited for 25 minutes for our order , there was 4 tables of people total..
The table in front of us was livid about their food, it was that bad , the lady sent it back and said she was leaving... We asked the waitress how much longer as it was already approaching ridiculous. She said she didn't know as the kitchen was backed up with only one cook and he was overwhelmed with a large party .. We said had enough and asked for our check.
While paying at the front I looked the place over and it was empty and asked her where the large party was that had jammed up the kitchen .
She pointed at a table of 4 men and said there .. I said that's a single table, not a party , 4 patrons is not a "PARTY"
I laughed and we left ... Pathetic ! The manager who has short staffed this place so badly should be fired.
One cook on a Saturday afternoon is inexcusable . The only Mexican restaurant in town that could be worse than this place is El Salto , but...
Read moreWhat a huge disappointment. I hardly ever write a review unless it is positive! But this seemed important. Our waiter looked like he just crawled out of bed and he certainly had no enthusiasm about waiting on us. Sadly our food came and on my side salad dish with rice, sour cream etc... there sat a black hair... I scooped it into a napkin and rolled it up and tried not to think about it and just ate off of my fajitas plate.....when I did mention the hair and asked to just remove that plate, he came back to the table and said,"the other waitress didn't see anything!" I said excuse me....I rolled it up in a napkin that I sent back with the plate...."he said, is that all....he did not apologize or ask if he could get a new plate etc...nothing...... So all in all we paid our bill and left... The food was mediocre and mostly the service was just horrible as if the costumers were a bother.. Sadly, this place will not see us again and unless they change their management and servers, they will just be another failed business at The...
