The venue is somewhat small and compact. Youâll notice the same âactorsâ at many turns. There are hanging strips of material that your face (and the faces and snotty noses of previous customers) constantly feel. Super annoying and gross. There were some âscaryâ parts, but mostly, the âactorsâ scream and yell trying to scare you. The logistics didnât allow for many people to go through quickly enough and the result was a 3 hour grueling wait that moved a few inches every 15-20 minutes. There were probably only 40 or 50 people in line in front of us, but it took an entire three hours just to move through the line. So many people gave up and just left. If I had known that my family, including an eight and nine year-old was going to have to stand In line for three hours, I would not have participated in this event. Even the $13 tickets that I was able to purchase on Groupon didnât make the wait more palatable. I gave it three stars because the âactorsâ which included some children, probably 10 or 12 years old, I believe weâre all part of this family owned business. Iâm nothing if Iâm not a supporter of small business, and especially family, owned and operated businesses. I wouldâve given it more stars if the wait was shorter. Try this venue on a different night, then on a Saturday night. And make sure youâre there by 7 PM when it opens so you donât have to...
Read moreEveryone was so, so sweet here. The scare makeup was unique on everyone and well done, the walk throughs were thorough and disorienting, and the actors were having fun with the scares and enthusiastically interacting with guests. I liked that this is a touch haunt, it made it more immersive.
Some of the folks saw me sitting down with my cane in line and actually fetched me a wheelchair to use, which was so so so thoughtful. I ended up walking through the haunts with my cane, which I think made the scare actors go pretty easy on me, but I can't fault them for worrying. I think maybe a glow stick wristband system would work better for the light/normal/intense scare experience, because my only concern with the whole night was that I didn't feel they honored our request for a super intense walkthrough. But there's only so much you can expect being visibly disabled.
Altogether, it was extremely reasonably priced for so many haunts, I loved that they allowed such small groups through, and it felt like supporting a local business that genuinely cares about delivering a good experience. I had a fantastic time and I'm definitely making this place a yearly tradition. I wish I could stand in the fear farm parking lot and tell them to go...
Read moreBEST HAUNT IN ARIZONA. I am a haunt enthusiast, and I love horror. I have been to all other haunts in the valley and Tucson, and I don't scare easily, so for me to make the effort to leave my first 5-star review on Google for Terror in Tolleson says a lot. If you are looking for a true scare and thrill for Halloween season, this is 10000% the place! It's an unforgettable experience and unlike no other haunt I've been to. The experience is very personal, adrenaline-rushing, and thrilling. The couple who created this haunt definitely understand the concept of real horror and know how to trigger your fears. I am so grateful that we have a haunt like this around and appreciate the owners and staff for bringing true Halloween to the Phoenix area. I loved every moment of it and I can't wait for the years to come. If you are trying to decide between this haunt and others, this one is most worth it--and you'll leave with some sore lungs and a beating...
