For a place to have the word Tamales in their name you would think they’ll be good. We went to try this place out cause we had heard good things about it but left extremely disappointed. The waitress first told us that all they had was cheese and chicken so we decided to get half a dozen (3 & 3) to try then out, just so she could come back and tell us they didn’t actually have the cheese ones. So we got the only thing they had, chicken and pork. I am not exaggerating when I say that the tamales were dry. They were so dry they hurt to swallow and you literally had to wash them down with your drink, it seemed like they had been heated up in the microwave because parts of them where burn dry. My daughter got a cocido de res and the taste was just not good at all and the rice that came with it tasted just like onions. Needless to say, glad we tried it out so we can scratch it off our list as...
Read moreI ate here on a Monday afternoon after being there less than 3 years ago. Definitely a different experience then before. From the moment we walked in the door the girl came out from the back agitated after we said we were going to stay and eat. Chips and salsa were served in a to go bag But they were the only part of the meal that was tasty. Service was horrible, (same girl) never came to our table to ask if we were okay until we asked for the bill. Food was as if it was previously frozen, subpar. The bathrooms did not accommodate women toilet ring was laying up against the wall dirty.45 minutes prior to the sign saying it closes at 3:00 p.m., at 2:15 they were already turning off lights and locking doors. When she cleaned off the table next to us, she dragged a giant trash bin behind her. Super loud and annoying. Don't waste your...
Read moreThe food here is good for the value. They give you good portion. My husband and I had the red chilaquiles with carne asada. It was prepared fast, a seemed freshly made. I loved it, but my husband wished the red salsa was spicier. So if you want spicier chilaquiles, go for the green salsa. We were informed the green chilaquiles are the spicier. Covid precautions are definitely being considered here. You get everything in disposable dinnerware. Mask are encouraged. The only reason I took 2 stars away is because of the tamales. They are a good size, decent flavor, but lacking meat big time. At first when I saw the size, the name on the restaurant, I thought they would be great. Unfortunately it did not stand out at all. The tamales need way more filling. Therefore, I would not recommend the tamales unless you...
