Unpleasant experience from start to finish. A few cautions for those of you shopping for mattresses:
(1) Make sure you have the return/exchange policy thoroughly explained to you and in writing. We got nothing but assurances that the expensive Tempur-Pedic mattress we purchased could be returned or exchanged if it turned out we did not like it. The worst-case scenario, we were told, was that we would pay a $250 fee to return the whole thing and get our money back. There was no warning or explanation from the salesman that the adjustable base was not returnable. After sleeping on the bed, which does not work for us at all, we’re now told that we have to pay $250 just for the privilege of exchanging the mattress, and if we want a refund, we have to pay $500. And the base is non-refundable, non-returnable. Maybe exchangeable? Who knows. This is after being told different stories about the return policy by two different sales people when I went in to tell them we weren’t happy with the mattress. If we had known these (wildly varying, depending on who you talk to) conditions, we would not have purchased a bed at this store. Get it in writing. (Also, get ready to pay more money for a mattress topper for your uncomfortable mattress so you don’t wake up in pain every morning, because they'll make you keep sleeping on it for 30 days before they’ll let you pay them to take it back. And enjoy that wobbly base! You’re just stuck with that. Maybe try spending even MORE money for bed stabilizers. You'll need them.)
(2) Before you go shopping, look up the price of the item you’re looking to purchase. Liddiard HF will match the lower price, but not happily. They’ll take away your pillows. But it’s worth having to give back the pillows they were going to give you not to have to pay THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS more than what the mattress is selling for at other outlets.
After having spent many thousands of dollars at this store in the past, not just on this purchase, we’re done shopping here. It’s upsetting to be stuck with a very expensive bed we don’t want, to be misled about the return policy, and not to be able to trust that we’re getting a fair price when shopping...
Read moreI recently just purchased a new bedroom set for the first time. I've ordered different items from Liddiard's before and it's always been a pretty smooth process. However, the start to the purchase of my bedroom set was pretty difficult and frustrating. At first, the brand of the set I ordered was Ashley and it was back ordered, so I had to wait for a month initially. Usually customer service at Liddiard's is great, but I wasn't receiving that. My shipping date had changed almost three times and every time I was the one that had to reach out to my sales person to get that information when he should have been reaching out to me instead. After getting frustrated and waiting over two months, I contacted the store stating that I was close to cancelling my order and that I needed to speak with upper management or the owner. Right of the bat, the owner Frank Liddiard contacted me and set up a meeting in hopes of resolving my overall issue. I was definitely pleased to get the owner, to say the least. Frank was super great with helping me! He was able to cancel my original order due to the lack of response from Ashley, then he ordered me a set that was almost exactly the same as the one I wanted but better quality, and he kept me in the loop of what was going on with my new order the entire time! During our meeting, Frank mentioned that my issues should have been resolved a lot sooner than when he contacted me and he was going to make sure that was known among my sales person and anyone else. I can confidently say that Frank fixed my situation 100% and I'm still going to continue being a customer of theirs. Like I mentioned before, all my past orders have never had issues, so I think I just happened to get a weird/crazy situation this time. Read moreWe needed a dishwasher, and this was our first time purchasing from Liddiard. After lots of research, we decided on Kitchen Aid black stainless steel with a pocket handle. One thing we really like about Liddiard is they are happy to match any competitor price, so after shopping other vendors, we wanted to support a local small business.
The facility is surprisingly beautiful on the inside with a very open, friendly ambiance. Kalee Brunson was a great hustler and quick to make sure our questions were answered. At no fault of her own, we left disappointed after being forced to purchase one on back order. This is 100% the fault of an industry-wide supply chain disruption from COVID-19, not Liddiard.
We learned that large item supply chains have been turned on their head and only now are consumers realizing the disruption. Even the appliance showroom was a depressing sight, looking more like a toilet paper aisle from last April with nothing to display because everything literally was on back order.
I did not, however, factor this into my review rating because this is obviously outside of Liddiard’s control. Shopping around, it became clear this is also the case with RC Willey, Home Depot, Costco, Lowe’s, etc.
Another thing we appreciated was their assurance that, due to COVID 19, we could cancel the purchase while still on back order for any reason. Currently the shipment is expected to be approximately 45 days out but apparently is not uncommon for the timeline to keep pushing out.
