This was my first appliance purchase from home depot and it will probably be my last. We ordered these right after we moved in to our new house. We were told that it would be about 2 weeks before delivery and that was fine. We got a call the day of delivery saying it would have to be rescheduled due to the truck having problems. We were even the very next stop….. The person apologized and scheduled it again for the next week while also offering a $25 Visa Gift card to make up for the inconvenience. (It has now been 3 months and I still haven’t received anything.) When they arrived the pedestals were completely destroyed which I immediately rejected. The washer and dryer were also scratched a bit, but I accepted them because I really needed to do laundry at this point. They hooked everything up and let me know that someone would contact me about the replacement pedestals. A few days later we noticed that our clothes were coming out of the washing machine warmer than we would expect for a cold wash and after looking at the water lines they did indeed hook everything up backwards. Including the 3rd water line to the dryer. I fixed this all myself. A week passed before someone called to schedule the pedestals which obviously delayed any potential delivery and due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the scheduled date was almost a month later. The date came and they brought the pedestals into the house, but were very leery about installing them because the machines had already been in use. After calling a supervisor they got the green light. I looked over the pedestals and they were also scratched and dented, but I accepted them because at this point I just wanted my appliances fully working and was tired of waiting. They moved one unit into the garage to have more room mounting the unit and did the other one in the laundry room itself. I left them for a few minutes and when I came back they has sprayed cleaner all over the floor so they would slide into place easier. (Makes sense, but seriously ask before using someone else’s stuff.) Had to clean up the sticky mess after they left. I also had to fix the flexible dryer vent hose because it was crushed quiet a bit and, in my opinion, would cause a fire in the future. I cut the length in half which made for a perfect right angle fit behind the dryer. After they left I noticed a few new dents on the top of both units (installer was climbing on top of units to reach behind them) and the washing machine has a large 3” scratch on the clear plastic door. None of these were there before they arrived. At this point I don’t know what to do. If I wanted scratch and dent units I could have bought them directly off of the store’s floor. And in this case, they would have been in better shape than what I received. To close, they work, but cosmetically they are no where near new. I am really disappointed and could have gotten the same price...
Read moreBeing the only real game in town, it doesn't matter what you think of Home Depot. Sooner or later, you will be forced to shop there. They have even more of a monopoly than WalMart does in their respective markets! I am not fond of "monoplizers" and when I can, I will go to Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, and Cal Ranch first. I wish more people would and keep them in business. Monopolies ARE A BAD THING! Alas, when it comes to lumber, there is no current alternative, and their pricing and quality reflect it. We purchased a new higher-end quality front loading washer from HD and had it delivered and installed. WHAT A PITIFUL JOKE THAT WAS! Took 2 weeks to get it, was double charged for mandatory additional installation parts that we never got! Paid twice and got nothing. The HD supplied installer lost some parts, forgot to remove the shipping brackets, did not level it, used the old hoses and valves. The washer came with new ones, but they charged us for the upgraded stainless steel ones. Apparently, the installer just kept those parts (stole) and left. Complaints were filed with the local store, HD Corporate, the washer manufacturer, and the company the installer worked for. NO ONE lifted a finger to correct any of the problems! The installer did not even check to see if it was operational (IT WASN'T)! My neighbor and I had to pull it all back out, buy parts, remove the shipping braces from the rear, install the door correctly, make and install the leveling feet, hook everything up and correctly reinstall everything. That was 2 YEARS AGO, and no one, not one single person listed above ever lifted a finger to correct the situation in any way what-so-ever! Seriously- you can't make this $&!♧ up! Worse, we couldn't even find anyone who cared enough to apologize or even lie about it, it was just totally ignored even to this day. Needless to say, none of our new kitchen appliances came from there! Nor the new lawnmower, etc. Now we only buy there when there's no other viable option. Has anyone else noticed the outlandish prices in their lawn and garden area? Their plants must be made of gold! $150 for common young trees, nothing fancy...last weekend. We bought a very small red maple for $30 and quickly left. Isn't Lowes supposed to be putting in a store soon? We can only hope. In the meantime, shop around and keep our local merchants in business. Without them, we all will be at the mercy of just 2 big box outsiders and their dubious business practices. If nothing else there is Amazon. 🙏 🙏 PLEASE SHOP...
Read moreNo more Tooele DeepHomo for me. I've had too many bad experiences at this location. Most people would not believe the unfortunate encounters. Unprofessional "Associates", Incompetent and clueless. I spent many thousands of $ here and I swear I would not return. I was stupid, yes for returning. I ordered a Whirlpool washer and dryer and had them deliver it to the HD store. HD called when they arrived. I went to customer service to pick them up and the employee told me the washer and dryer had already been delivered. I pointed to the washer and dryer - it was 10ft away in the caged area. She still would not let me have the washer and dryer. I went home - called the number on the receipt explaining the situation. The customer service (I think it was Whirlpool) called Homedepot and explained to them the washer and dryer was for me to pick up. I returned to HD and the same associate would not allow me to have the washer and dryer I had paid for. I asked for a manager and explained to him the situation. He also told me I could not have them because it had already been delivered. I returned home and called same employee at Whirlpool customer service. She promptly called HD again. When she came back on the line she told me "I would not shop at that location anymore" She promptly issued a refund and told me to go elsewhere. Missing items from packaged items. Lighting, plumbing and fasteners. Boxed in with a forklift in the aisle and they told me I was in their way. Purchased a Dewalt drill, got home and it was a used ryobi drill which they would not refund. This is only one of a multitude of issues at this location. To go on it would be a movie script with...
