I was given a recommendation to go with Prefered Air by someone at my job and I would have to say it was by far the best decision I ever made for my home. I was stressed about the conversion to gas from electric. I went through 8-10 contractors for quotes on doing a complete conversion over from an all electric home to gas. Out of all the contractors the only one that came into my home with the best solution to making the conversion to gas with no change in my homes current layout was Preffred Air. It was obvious that Tom the owner of Preffered Air was not out to just make money on the job but ensure I would be a happy customer in the long term. He was very set on only doing it the way he reccomended and after doing research it was obvious he had my best interest in mind. We got a boiler, hot water tank, hydro air handler and condesor installed along with ecobee 4 thermostats installed. Five zones were installed on the boiler with them leaving me one extra for an additional zone in the future like heating my garage. They helped me make great equipment choices and shared the details with me on why it is the best choice for my home. I went with a viessman condensing boiler, viessman hot water tank, american standard hydro air handler, american standard 2.5 ton condersor, and ecobee 4 thermostats for equipment. Prefered Air has amazing knowledge on the equipment, installation, and are very professional. Dont waste your time looking else where. If you want the best just call these guys. They are very honest and knowledgable about everything and keep you posted on progress. They actually work with you during the entire process and check in with you during installation to ensure you are comfortable with what they are doing in your home. Thanks for everything Prefered Air. Brain and other install team members were amazing to work with and educated me along the way. Shawn Morrissey was amazing going over the equipment and details during start up of all the equipment. He has knowledge on eveything, very honest, great attitude and very professional. Their worker was angry and rude for some reason unknown to us but the kicker is when he intentionally damaged, and I mean using his tool to mangle the inner part at the hem of our heater and said, "Now it's condemned!". It's like he had a personal vendetta against us. We have never met this person!

I’m writing an edit here in response to your reply to my review because I couldn’t figure out how to respond directly to you.

I am disappointed that instead of calling me for more information or try and resolve this, you felt it better to discredit my husband’s experience and this review. You too weren’t there either and we did take pictures too. We are not HVAC specialists so I can’t speak to what he did right or wrong but we were forced to hire another company and I can tell you Patrick’s report is questionable. But I understand different people may assess the same issue differently so that’s not the point here. What bothered us most was how rude he was to my husband and the way he talked to him. While, like you say, he followed protocol to shut the heater down, he could have communicated that instead of the angry “Now it’s condemned!” Please tell me you see what I mean because I take no joy in writing this review. And I would appreciate it if you at least called and tried to understand what happened other than discrediting...

Preferred Air was one of three contractors that I requested a quote to install a ductless split type AC/Heat Pump system in my house. Right from the start of requesting the quote and the subsequent visit to my house to do a walk through, to installation every person I dealt with was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Betty Jo Tremblay handled the quoting process and walk through and was very responsive in getting me the original quote and a requote when we decided on a change. The two men that did the installation (sorry forgot their names) were professional, polite, knew what they were doing, cleaned up and we’re here everyday on time. They installed all the wall units in the house and cleaned up after the work was done. Once the system was installed Patrick Packard came by to charge the system, get it up and running and go over the operation of the unit with us. He was very patient and did a great job showing us how to operate the wall units and remotes correctly.
